Mandarmani is actually a long stretch of beach close to Digha. Pros:- It's a calm, serene, less crowded place. You can spend quality time with your family. Love is in the air. Cons:- too desolate a place. Damn Expensive from resorts to restaurants. No makeshift stalls, etc. Hence, no shopping. A dull affair after a day. My suggestion - visit... More

It is a flat beach and mostly calm water. The surface is quite strong and you never lose your foot grip with waves receding unlike the beach in puri which has slope and you feel the sand being washed away with waves returning. Enjoyed having bath in the sea. It is better to time it with high tide (obviously with... More

You can easily bypass it and choose Tajpur or Talashari as alternative destinations. Most of the hotels are over priced.

Nice beach in West Bengal. Not crowded like Digha yet it's moderately busy. Probably the longest beach of West Bengal. The approach roads to this beach are nice and an accommodation can be easily arranged here. One of the very few places to experience sun rise.

After seeing all the nearby beaches at Digha, New Digha, Udaipur, Talseri, Shankarpur and Tajpur, this was a total letdown. Nothing special or interesting about the beach, much of which has been enclosed by hotels anyway. The area around the parking lot is congested and dirty. Checked out some of the hotels - definitely overpriced given the attractions.

It is a clean and less crowded beach. But, there were less activities to do. Activities like paragliding and driving on the beach were not allowed when I had visited. Enjoyed early morning or evening walk on the beach. Sea water is not very clean and waste water from many hotels is directly going to the sea. There are many... More

One of the unique beach I have seen as the shore is full of silt that holds tight even after high tide. Looks damp and moist but easy to walk on. Waves are not violent and afternoon is a good time to bath during winters.
