Dec 2016 • Family
This is a temple for Lord Jupiter (Sani bagavan). It is told that people must visit this temple to get the blessings of Lord Jupiter and get rid of dhosams.

Temple for Lord Guru (Jupiter)
May 2016 • Family
This temple is dedicated for Lord Guru (Dhakshinamoorthy). Located in Alangudi village, is a very powerful temple. Lord Guru is considered one of the most important grahas (planets). Anyone who seek blessing from Lord Guru must visit this temple. For whom Guru is not in good then they must definitely visit this temple. Visiting this temple will definitely create remarkable positive impact in your life which I have also experienced. Visiting this temple on Guru Peyarchi (Guru Transit) will enhance your blessings. Thursdays are more auspicious for Guru, so you can plan to visit this temple on Thursdays. Usually Thursdays and Guru peyarchi days are very crowded.

Jupiter or Guru Sthalam
Dec 2014 • Couples
Roads are better and connected from kumbakonam, it will take 30 minutes by car, temple parking is available, and temple opens at 4pm, see Shiva first and then guru, multiple queues to see peacefully or do archana or do special pooja, overall the visit is peaceful and no pushing around.

Guru Stalam (Jupiter)
Oct 2014 • Family
This is the foremost of guru stalam which is dedicated to Guru Bhagwan (Jupiter), not a very big temple as in case of shiva temple in Tamilnadu, either it is not very small too. Situated in a Hamlet far away from the town or city chaos, peacefull, clam, drive through the place via lush fields. donating yellow cloth, or wheat to this god will endure results as the customs goes. No cameras allowed inside the main temple.

Painful visit
Aug 2014 • Family
The experience was marred when we visited this temple by the parking attendants. They were pushing to collect the parking charges without providing any facilities for the same. Even the request for paying the charges after returning from the temple were rejected and they said we had to pay before entering the temple! They were rude and unapologetic about it.
The access to the deity was better regulated than previous instances. Unfortunately, it was summer and we had to literally run to shaded locations to avoid blisters as the flooring was hot. I would suggest visiting early in the day to avoid this difficulty.
