The cave is accessible by a less travelled pedestrian path which gets hidden due to vegetation in monsoons. There are no signages to guide to visitor and only one solitary board put up at the entrance of the cave. It appears as if the cave was hidden waterfall at some time in the past, as per the landscape around. It does not have any carvings or idols as is customary but there is still something about it which makes it unforgettable.

This was an extraordinary tour with such wonderful guides, Jagrut and Nandini!
It was fully through the lush green villages. The visit to a farm and having traditional tasty breakfast served by Devdutt Patil's family and after that a guided visit to the farm by Devdutt himself was so enjoyable.
Then the visit to the Buddhist caves was interesting. But the most fascinating and stunning site were the petroglyphs. What a beautiful location and such wonderful carvings on the rocks on the bank of the river.
These were so unusual, never heard about them, nor seen such carvings elsewhere so an urgent need to be protected and preserved for they are the archaeological treasure not only of Goa but of India.
Jagrut and Nandini were great , gentle, friendly, passionate and so happy to share the wonderful treasures of Goa as were all our guides.
Thanking Nandini for taking care so spontaneously of our elderly friend!
Thanking Jagrut too for his joyful energy!
All the best to all of you.
Highly recommending this fantastic trail.

The caves were empty with nothing to see there. Luckily I stopped on the way to the falls. Not worth a visit. All the items have been moved to the museum.
