A nice little trip for all ages. Stunning caves with interesting history led by a guide (German speaking). Easy to walk around - no tight squeezes like in some caves. Fascinating to look at. Lovely and cool (we went during heatwave so was lovely!!). Only...More

This guided-only tour is quite interesting considerable the fact the one part of the whole cave system was only discovered and opened to the public after WW-II. It holds a replica of the found (intact) skeleton of a long ago extinct mountain bear. Also very...More

Since childhood I've been visiting Baerenhoehle every 5 years or so. Now with my own kid. It's always exciting and interesting. But your children should be 8+ to fully understand everything.

Went with 4 children under 8 years old. Overall a wonderful experience and fun to do for all ages. Set times for tours ( I think every half hour or so). The path in the cave is paved but there are some steps (3 sets)...More

Very interesting cave, good tour, very interesting for the whole family! Room for improvement: healthier catering, quiz for the children( to learn more about the cave)

Could be better maintained. Still enjoyable for cave lovers though. Parts can be a bit scary for young kids due to darkness and tightness of passway.

We went on a very rainy grey day so cave visits were very popular. We showed up right behind a big bus and ended up having to go on tour with them. The tour guide told us that because the group was so big she...More

It is rare to visit a cave that has been so well kept, even with tons of real bear skeletons still intact to see. The children walked around with big eyes. They are not easily impressed. The German guide talked really deep dialect, but we...More

Cave with loads of fantastic stalagtites, stalagmites and bear skeletons. Very cold inside, but definitely worth seeing! There's a fun park next door with a ferris wheel and a fairy tail theme - more for younger children. Restaurant attached.
