Depending on the area you want to stay it eather will be crowded or not that much people. The guys here who are complaining here that it was crowded are the ones who went to the middle of the beach where most of the people stay. There are plenty of space on the beach and you can choose wheter you go to the middle or stay on the edge of the beach where are less people and the water is brighter than in the middle.

    Great experience!
Great pricing, great staff and overall great vibes! Crystal clear water and it’s very clean. Regular changes of the flag. I’ve been going there for a few days in a row with my family and it has not disappointed. Would recommend.

probably one of the best beaches in Montenegro (BTW Montenegro is not famous with beaches)
This is quite a long beach with a pebbled and sandy section (sand is rarity in Montenegro)!!! Set of 2 sunbeds and umbrella is 15 euro, but that is common for the bigger part of the beaches in Montenegro. Parking is big and is free!!! Water is crystal clear!!!

I have to say, some of the positive reviews for this beach must be from people who have never been to a normal beach in their life. This is extremely crowded, terribly set up beach. The sunbeds and umbrellas are so close to each other, I can practically caress the chest of totally unknown people next to me. The beach itself is not even pebbled, it is practically stones and walking around barefoot is impossible. If you happen to be older of have a disability, forget about even getting to the water. The 2-3 area in the water where one can actually enter without shoes are packed with children. The parking is incredibly disorganized. There are no decent changing rooms and the toilets are paid even for people who rent sunbeds. The only plus was the clean water.

Jaz has a quiet nudist part, but you dont have to be nude, just polite and carefree. The water here is clean and the rocks are wild.

Horizontala restaurant is the best place for breakfast. Rock music and excellent service.

Small pebbles, umbrellas, deck chairs, wooden paths to not burn the soles ...
Cafeterias along the beach where has some of natural shade.
There is also a scuba camp where diving schools from the region are coming for training and the first deep dive for beginners.
There is a scuba camping where diving school from the region coming for training and the first deep dive for beginners.
At the left end of beach is a group of villas with holiday apartments for rent.
That part of the beach is rocky and more interesting than the rest and was called Poseidon (and in fact, is part of the same beach).
Accommodation here is quite good, by some friends who have stayed here and they are picky enough so you can trust their judgment.

How to get there

From exit from Budva intersection on the main road to the beach Jaz has 5.5 km (drive towards Tivat, it's good marked).
It's a ten minute drive but in the top season can be much longer.
Direction is good because after the Jaz beach you have two more, Trsteno and Ploce, so if you do not like Jaz, ride further.

Jaz beach is a complete mess is you don't know where to go. No one wants to be around hundreds and hundreds of tourists and surrounded by all those sunbeds. The easiest thing is to just keep walking past all the sunbeds and people and just go left... After a 10 to 15 minute walk you will pass a generic beach bar and just around the corner is a quaint beach bar with a small beach. This is the best kept secret of Jaz.

Not all sun beds are same quality. And if there is no ashtray available sand will be full of cigarettes. 4€ to day rent one sun bed. Parking is 3€.

This beach is wide and long, pebbles and sand. If you go to Budva direction, there is a nudist section (without umbrellas and shezlongs); its beginning is not marked, but the end do marked by post "no nudism". 3 Euro for car entrance (per day), ample space for parking

If you are looking for an outstanding sandy beach, this is not really the place for you. Even if it is highly rated, I found it to be too crowded, dirty and expensive for what is offers. The sunbeds are old and torn apart and it is also full of children because of the sandy strip. Not to mention that is it far from the city itself and harder to reach by public transport. I do believe Budva has far better beaches than this one.

When visiting Kotor we employed a driver to give us a tour of the countryside and the town of Budva. Along the way we viewed Jaz Beach from high above. It did look gorgeous, so our driver agreed to take us there and let us swim. He claimed it was one of the best beaches in Europe. Being from Michigan I guess I am a bit spoiled when it comes to great beaches.

You change right on the beach behind some curtains that give just an ounce more privacy than holding up a towel. The beach is quite crowded with many deck chairs and umbrellas, but you can sit there for free if you buy an occasional drink. A draft beer was only 1.8 Euros and delivered cold to you so a great deal. The problem is there is no sand. Instead the beach is made up of small soft stones, which are painful to walk on so bring flip flops or some beach shoes. The water was warm clear and beautiful. Being sea water you are very buoyant and the water is quite still. All in all a good experience, but I miss the sand on a beach.
