Like this little town on the Adriatic Sea. Nice beach, nice parks, playgrounds for kids, restaurants, bars along the coast. History of Porto Saint’Elpidio is going back to 8 century BC. From some excavations within the commune's area many important archaeological finds were discovered, which confirmed the presence of Etruscan burial sites that date back to 8th century B.C. From renaissance maps there are annotations of a small village on the coast, with the name Porto San Lupidio, with a sea teeming with fish and a little away from Castrum Castri, now known as Fermo. Many beautiful villas to visit in this area.

We visited on a very busy weekend and had no problem parking for free along the main road by the sea. After a meal we were easily able to walk along the sea line and amongst a open wonderful pine wood. All the area needed a bit of a clear up after a long bank holiday week, but nevertheless that did not spoil our promenade. We walked around for nearly two hours and could have done more. There were plenty of places to stop off at and the actual town centre was never far away. Top marks and we will return to eat and exercise again soon!

This small town in the Marche region is a treasure! The beach isn't sandy but the sea is fantastic. After pqssing over the cobblestones (a pair of sea shoes or sandals take care of any discomfort), you find a sandy bottom with clear water. Sunbathing is wonderful because you're right on the seaside, with the reflection of the sun on the sea. The shoe factory outlets are any woman's dream and any man's nightmare! Te sellection is unbelieveable! The best as far as I'm concerned is Loryblu, it has to be seen to be believed!
We had dinner at the Chalet Luna Rossa, a fantastic meal from start to finish. We also had pizza a few times at the Storione. A lovley crisp pizza with a huge choise of toppings...try the tuna, onion and oregano!

Very nice seafront. There is enough space for the bikes, for people strolling and for runners. It is very well preserved and clean. Definitely a very nice surprise.

Lovely seafront and walk along Lungomare in Porto Sant'Elpidio, especially in the early morning or late evening.

It completely depends on the day. I had days at this beach where it was breathtaking and then there were days where it was miserable and the water was not attractive. I was only there in June and July and I understood that is right before the busiest season so maybe the weather wasn't perfect yet.

The nice walk in the green and along the sea, the games to play with the kids, the cycle path! Many restaurants and bars for a refreshing stop in summer.

Grazie mille.
