Along the coast of Vietnam, there are many pebbles and gravel, but one of the most unique and interesting ones is Da Dia reef in An Ninh Dong commune, Tuy An district, Phu Yen province, about more than 40 km away from Tuy Hoa city, and about 11 km away from Chi Thanh town to the East.
Da Dia reef has the width of approximate 50 m and the length of more than 200 m which is a natural beauty spot which is hardly found. Stones here are placed in columns closely together with hexagonal shapes or round shapes as dishes placed together so it is called Da Dia reef.
According to the soil survey, stone in Da Dia reef is basalt stone formed from the activities of volcano of millions of years ago. Mineral from the volcano mouth was hardened when combining with sea water which also created forces to cause cracks for the whole mineral block along the vertical, horizontal, slanting joints to cut stone columns into many sections.
Next to Da Dia reef, there is Bai Bang with the length of approximate 3 km with fine white sand and clean and blue sea water which are favorable conditions for establishing a sea resort. This place still keeps the pristine beauty and pure environment. Ganh Da Dia shall surely leave unforgettable feelings in the mind of the visitors once they come to this place.
Da Dia reef is recognized by Ministry of Culture and Information as a national relic on 23/01/1997. In 2014, this place was ranked in Top 20 Most-wanted destination of Vietnam by Vietnam Records.

I had never seen anything like this rock formation in my life. It was amazing. It's truly amazing the power of the nature and the form it takes. It makes you really appreciate our planet and its many spectacular shapes and forms. The reason for losing the star is that unfortunately the human behavior is not at the same level as planet Earth. It's not well taken care of, there is trash around a lot, lot of tourist touts, services are half witted. This is off the beaten path and there is only limited amount of tourist coming but I hope they will clean the place and develop the services, then it's 5 star destination. The nature will take care of that

Ganh Da Dia's basalt rock columns is one of nature's puzzling mysteries.

These columns bundle together like steps and it was fun to walk and examine them up close. Geologists aren't conclusively clear how they were made, but it is assumed they were result of volcanic activity centuries ago. Not only that, the columns overlook a beautiful ocean view and coast line. My friends and I took many pictures along the edges (careful, it can get slippery). If it wasn't for my friend's cousins who are locals, we would of never found out about this place!

If you're traveling between Hoi An and Nha Trang then you must stop by Da Dia Reef.

It's quite far from the city, we choose the village way not the highway. So we experienced so many things about countryside lifestyle, rice fields and scenery.

And Ganh Da Dia is a beautiful natural heritage. We'd love to come here again and enjoy in a sunny day.

Ganh Da Dia (A Cliff of Stone Plates) is an incredibly gorgeous view of the structured rocks including large stones equally arranged in a star pattern. A wonderful and romantic spot for wedding photos. Unfortunately, the way to go there is not really pleasant, but worth to visit, only 40km from Tuy Hoa city.

Swimming is my favorite sport. And this site just make it wonderful to swim, jump into the water. I will definitely come back to Ganh Da Dia as soon as I can. The water so pure that you can even see things under it. I recommend to bring your diving glasses to discover things under the water. It's fun and amazing!

It was an amazing. The naturally formed rocks really looked like it was man-made, truly a beautiful wonder. Following the trail on the map for more sightseeing if you'd like. One word of advice though, you don't need the jeep service that offer you a ride for 5k/person if you're healthy, since they only drive from the gate to the Dia Da reef which is about 200 meters.

Da Dia is located a bit in the middle of nowhere, but the drive is well worth it, leading through both villages and empty country side..

The stone formation looks just like in the pictures you've seen, but there is more to the park. A path leads around it and the views are stunning.
