Basaltic Coastline
Oct 2020
Really interesting basaltic formations here - among the few in the world. It would have been better if they picked up the trash every now and then, but it's still an impressive natural wonder and makes a good daytrip from Tuy Hoa.

Vietnam's unique natural masterpiece

Da Dia reef
- Located at the end of An Ninh Dong commune, Tuy An district, Phu Yen province.
- Da Dia reef in Phu Yen is one of 5 famous natural phenomena sites in the world.
- This place is a collection of prismatic stone pillars lined up next to each other. The wide stretch of rocky beach is mysterious black. The rock piling up together to look like a stack of dishes, so it is called Da Dia reef. Seen from afar, the Da Dia reef looks like a gigantic natural honeycomb.
- Entrance fee: 20,000 VND / person. Keep the motobike/car in stores outside: 5,000 VND / motorbike, 20,000 VND / car. Walk from the gate to the rocky beach (climb down the stairs) about 400m

Visited the reef with friends, I had seen a drone video on real Viet Nam some time ago and had to see this natural wonder with the basalt rock formations rising out of the sea. Only a few places like this in the world. Reminds me of Hiant causeway in Northern Ireland, a must see when in the area!

Da Dia Reef is a formation of rock you won't see anywhere else, it is easily climbed down, has a great park and local town Tuy Hoa as an off the map tourist destination. Vietnam's best seafood, tuna being the specialty. The reef also has a lighthouse nearby. And is a short drive North of Tuy Hoa city (tiny city) ... there are many very affordable hotels, restaurants and some nice hostels not ravaged by crazed backpackers as in HaNoi, etc. There aer a few remarkable beaches not just this one. Photo opps everywhere. If coming up the coast, it is just past Nha Trang (2 hours North?) on the ocean. There are local Champa Empire ruins and towers 3-4,000 years old, If trecking on foot, this is one of the best stretches of beaches and coastal trails in the country. We took a limo from Nha Trang and it was really inexpensive and first class. I've seen most of Viet. over the past 9 years and this is a really special area...place....beach(s).....and FOOD...!

An amazing scene of mother nature!!
Oct 2019
The reef is 35km far away from Tuy Hoa city, you can go to there by motorbike to enjoy the scenery of the hometown. The unique structures that only have in Phu Yen province. We came to there at about 12am, very sunny and hot weather but thanks to those we can get nice pictures and not too much tourists in there at that time. Highly recommend, it's a beauty of nature!

Beautiful scenery
Jun 2019 • Family
My family came to Ghenh Da Dia abt 11am. The weather was sunny, very hot but the scenery here was so stunning. Nice beach, crystal clear water but too much people who tried to take pics were annoying. Enjoyed the beach. So much fun with the kids. They loved it! The ticket cost a buck I think.

This has been the first time to visit this wonder reef where is covered by hunderes year old sediment. You will be hard to expect an abundant service but can just enjoy its neglected beauty...
