Being the only place to get food in the Picturesque village we found it a bit pricey for what was served 1 x homemade Burger with Blue Cheese served with chips n salad, had it not been for the cheese this would have been very bland as there seemed to be a lack off seasoning. 1 x Homemade Peppered Steak pie served with chips Gravy Peas, All very tasty served on hot plates. The pub itself was beautiful very welcoming although you got the initial vibe from locals as you walk in “here come strangers “ Open coal fire roaring making for a cosy feel Lots off little rooms to choose from to sit. Lots off interesting beer bottles to read.

Probably the best pint of Banks bitter around! This is a great pub, roaring fire, friendly locals for a chat, simple honest pub grub and a really good pint of bitter. I like it, a lot.

As we live in the next village, we often pop into here for lunch the two of us - over new year we visited with my daughter and small children Very warm and cosy, with a small open fire, nice atmosphere and good pub good, unfortunately this lunchtime, a large party of about 12 pensioners came in and sat at the side of us, ;so we were glad we got our order in first. Good food, great service

We visited the Plough as a last-minute decision to eat out having been staying nearby. We were looking for a good value pub meal which is exactly what they offer. It is a delightful village pub, serving traditional pub grub, we have steak pie and lamb shank. Food was tasty and hot(not always the case when you eat out, do important to us). My dessert was about disappointing but hubby enjoyed his crumble. Good value, friendly staff in an inviting environment.
