Amazing tiger tank that was abandoned at the side of the road. The locals put together to stop this being scrapped. Well worth a visit!

Normandy is littered with monuments from June 1944 but the Vimoutier Tiger is somehow different and special. No commemorative base or sculpture, no flags just a broken down Tiger at the side of the road with a simple description in French, English and German of...More

This tank is located in a great location. It's an enormous machine which was saved from destruction after the war. The locals in the town are really nice and it's worth a visit if you are going that way.

Way out in the middle of nowhere is this tiger tank. It took us 2 days to find it but it was worth it to see a Tiger tank up close. Very well preserved - it just ran out of gas and was left behind....More

Just parked of the road it is free to visit. If you are in the neighborhood well worth a 10 minute break. You can climb on it and do pretty much what you like (it is kind of hard to damage a Tiger :) )....More
