Actually a nice beach. But if you compare it to the competition, it's rather average. Behind the beach there are buildings along the entire length with the corresponding access road. The best shady spots are annexed by large families. Nice view of the yachts moored in front of it.

From the Chora it is an about 15 minutes walk on an unsurfaced road down to Livadi Beach. Gently curving and a bit more than 200m long it has fine sand and several quite big tamarisk trees at its back, offering natural shade. The approach into the water is easy and here the flat rocks in the water are quite a bit further out, not next to the shore as in neighbouring Tsigouri Beach.
On my walk down to the beach I encountered a dead snake of a type, which is officially considered as 'near threatened', but locals will kill it anyway. It was a Four-lined Snake (Elaphe quatuorlineata), but a young one, when they still have blotches, not stripes yet on their back (see my photo).
Livadi Beach is facing southwest and further out one can see Iraklia island. It is thus protected from the northerly Meltemi winds in summer. A bit hidden at the back is also a restaurant with the name of the beach. From here I wanted to continue on foot in a southeast direction to other beaches, but this is not possible, since just at the end of Livadi starts a 4m high stone wall with watchtowers and a sign 'Beware of Dogs'. So all one can do is to walk the same way one came.
That the whole privatised Agios-Vasilios peninsula with the grand villa is so well guarded and protected is understandable, when one reads about it. During a raid by the Greek police plenty of valuable artefacts, that should not have been here, were found. The land belonged to Christo Michaelides, heir of a shipping family, and his partner in business and life, British art dealer Robin Symes, convicted for trafficking in illicit antiques.

Lovely breakfast [my friend had lunch too] at this taverna. We'd wanted rooms but they were full. The island is quite down-market and a lot of miserable locals [probably because Koufonisi is doing so well] At least here the owners were pleasant; the place was clean; the food was very good and they tried to clean the beach ~ the beaches on Schinoussa are a disgrace ~ filthy.

We stayed within 50m of this beach but having walked most of the island this was the best of the beaches we visited.

It was heaven, for me for my husband and for my children. We all had something to remember from this beautiful, crystal water beach. You can do snorkeling and you'll see various small fish even from lower depths.

I was staying nearby so Livadi beach was an obvious choice. Lovely beach even in the rain. Yes, I was unlucky with a bit of rubbish weather during my past holidays!
Lovely cafe nearby too.

Nice quiet beach with sand and almost no wind when north wind's. There are some trees on the beach to protect you from the sun.
