We had an amazing time at Finca El Ocaso last September. We stayed here for three nights and did the coffee tour on one day. The tour was really fun, interactive and insightful. It was just the right length of time and our guide, Laura, was really great. We also really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was nice and clean and the views of the surrounding area were absolutely stunning. Breakfast was delicious and fresh - and the lady who made it (I can't remember her name!) was so friendly and helpful with questions we had. We walked to and from the centre of Salento each day and found the walk was manageable and again beautiful views. There's also the option to get a willy. On arrival in Salento we walked to the Fincal el Ocaso as it was getting dark - I would advise against this only because we were worried we might get lost and the path there was not well lit and was very quiet.

The farm is beautiful. The tour was given by a knowledgeable staff member, who spoke very good English. We learnt a lot! The farm seemed to be ethically ran as well, with environmental considerations mentioned on the tour - though this is of course difficult to verify from a visit alone. We bought coffee beans from here after the tour - really delicious coffee, and made great presents for people at home too.

My fiance and I loved our experience at El Ocaso. It was very informative and interactive, and we truly came away with a lot more knowledge about coffee. It was also just beautiful out there. If we go back, we will definitely consider spending a night at the farm. I would love to wake up in the country with their coffee.
