Recommended 3 day hike. I was on my own and could join a group via Salento Trekking. Together with our very friendly guide #Carlos Londoño we hiked through different landscapes. From jungles with small bridges, over mountain ridges to the top of a volcano. The route is demanding, but you will encounter different landscapes every day. I highly recommend especially with Carlos, who adapted the pace super to the group and fed us well :)…

We had a great 3 day trip in Parque Nacional Natural de los Nevados with Salento Trekking. We began as two groups of four and four guides (one of whom was a trainee on her first day), but our group ended up preferring the hike selected by the other group. Diego, the owner and one of the guides on the trip, coordinated for us to change our hike and merge groups with no troubles. The hike was beautiful and we saw terrain/vegetation that was completely new to us. One of the guides, Christian, was very good at spotting wildlife to show us. Diego and the guides were also very careful to ensure that none of us suffered much from altitude sickness and that we were safe on the hike. I ended up being pretty affected by the altitude, so on Day 2 Diego took me and my boyfriend on a bypass route, meeting the rest of the group later in the day. Throughout the hike Diego shared many stories of the area and of his experiences. During the trip we stayed at two different fincas, both with kind people and very tasty and plentiful food. We even saw a tapir off in the distance at the second place! Overall, our hike with Salento Trekking was the highlight of our trip to Colombia. I'd highly recommend Salento Trekking: the guides are kind, competent, and caring, and the setting of their trips is stunning.…

My friend and I did a 3 day trekking with Salento trekking agency on december 31st 2019 and we still can't stop talking about how amazing it was - despite the rain. The service is top knot from the beginning til the end : small trekking groups, good snacks, very safe guides, great communication ! We had Janier as a guide, great fun all along - even under the rain and while sliding in the mud ;) we also had the chance to trek with Carlos for a day as we got along with another group and merged with them on the 3rd day. Diego, the owner fo the agency, was also of a great help driving us to Pereira airport as we rushed to not miss our flight ! As I said, the service was great from the beginning til the end. I strongly recommend picking this agency ! …

We had an incredible time in the mountains with our guide Janier from Salento trekking! We were taken on the most beautifull paths of the national park and to the summit of Nevado Tolima. The climb up Nevado Tolima is really strenuous and rough but thanks to our guide we made it up the top and got to experience the mesmerisingsunrise up there. We really reacommed to book a tour with Salento trekking!…

I highly recommend Salento Trekking. They planned a tour that exactly matched what we wanted and were consistently helpful and adaptable during the booking process. Their management and organisation were helpful and responsive. They organised transport to and from Pereira airport, stored our luggage, booked a thermal area tour for us after our trip and made everything work perfectly. They are extremely friendly and yet thoroughly professional. We climbed from the Cocora Valley into Los Nevados and stayed at two Fincas high in the mountains. Our guide, Ganer, was excellent. He judged our pace brilliantly, was very informative and looked after us really well on the trek and in the Fincas. (If you are staying in a Finca you should be aware that they are definitely basic! This is nothing to do with Salento trekking but just the only accommodation available). So a big thank you to Ganer and all at Salento trekking. If we return to this lovely area it will be with them!…
