It takes some time to see the many pretty coves and beaches, towering rocks and cliffs, and do the beach walks. Many of the sites were almost deserted in the mornings, a bit busier in the afternoons. Lots of stunning scenery and a helicopter ride over the best of it was well worth it.

While at home in Canada , I had researched this spot and it was on the top of my list to see. It was awesome! Friends of our in Cheltenham, Melbourne suggested we drive the Great Ocean Coast and so as not to rush we stopped overnight at Apollo Bay at Rayville Boat House 2 bedroom Cottage. We started our drive after morning breakfast and arrived early to the Twelve Apostles, parked our car (free parking) walked through the visitor section and then to our walk to the main attaction. You will not be disapointed. Truly with the wind and the waves it was awesome.

Twelve Apostles and Great Ocean was one of the highlights of my Australia trip. Stunning in an understatement for this natural wonder. Do Not Miss the Great Ocean road journey while on your trip and if possible, take the helicopter ride at the Twelve Apostles to make it worth it.

This is really amazing natural place. Wonderful views, great ocean waves and stunning rock formations. I recommend the sunset time there, but I would stay for more than a day to avoid crowds.

I could not believe how many cars were in the car park, and the so called overflow field of a car park. And the walk down was hectic. But once on the boardwalk, people spread out and you can still enjoy it. Beautiful views over the rocks.

Unbelievable location which is a must if you travel to Melbourne area. We took a tour from Melbourne to this location, however it is also a good option to rent a car. Everything is impressive.

The Great Ocean Road is a must for all tourists visiting Melbourne. The drive from Melbourne to the Twelve Apostles is breathtaking and the National Park has amazing vantage points to take in the views of this beautiful coastline and limestone stacks. It is a short walk on a paved path suitable for all fitness levels. There is also a kiosk and toilet facilities. You also have the option to take a helicopter flight which is another great experience.

It's a 4 hour drive but definitely worth it!!

Make sure you wear sunscreen, take a hat and water. It also can get a bit chilly and windy at times.

The twelve Apostles are evidently in the ocean, all of them. This is why they are so attractive.

I had the privilege to see two of the Apostles while I was on the Gibson Beach. I felt so close to these two apostles and I tried to take pictures in different angles.

Still, the rest of these Apostles can be seen at the Parks kiosk, heading to the boardwalk.

No matter where we look, the ocean makes it even more beautiful and when the sun sets, it is even more attractive. This is why so many people come here.

It is a must to see!

I will never forget the crowds. Everyone was excited and they were waiting patiently for the sunset. I too was excited. Wow!

Visited on Thursday 1st March. Most people don't realise that when they visit the Twelve Apostles and Lock Ard Gorge that they are in fact visiting a marine national park. The 7,500-hectare marine park is situated near Port Campbell and is named after the scenic The Twelve Apostles rock stacks, and contains the wreck of the clipper Loch Ard, wrecked on Mutton Bird Island in 1878. The marine park borders Port Campbell and Great Otway National Parks.
