Alluring temple of about 2000 years old of an area spanning about 2.75 hectares with an adjoining temple tank known as Chira (Pond) which extends over an area of one hectare, This well-maintained temple has excellent wood carvings, terracotta artwork, mural paintings carved on wooden planks

I just love visiting here .

Best time to visit is early morning or late evening.
Best time to visit during April 14

This is a very old temple believed to be more than 2000 years old. One can feel the serenity and calmness within the temple. It is not at all crowded and one can absorb the architecture and the ancient construction of the temple. The feeling of inner peace is indescribable when inside. I am glad that it survived the destruction of many temples caused by Tipu Sultan. The temple tank in front of the temple is massive and is a sight o behold during the monsoon. This is not a touristy place and the people who come to pray are mostly locals and hence the wonderful atmosphere. I hope the temple continues to receive the support it needs because it is worth preserving.

An old temple. One can feel high spiritual energy around this temple. Lord Ram and Hanuman are mainly worshipped. Yearly festivals last for 7 days with lots of elephants and panjavadyams Morning walk around this temple charge you with lots of energy. During evening time people of all ages assemble here and discuss about everything under the sun.

Reviewing a temple as if it is a tourist attraction seems a bit wrong. But if you are a Hindu and you are in the Thalassery area, you might consider a visit to the Thiruvangad temple. It has a history which goes back to several centuries and you get the calming experience that is typical of all old temples.
