Away from the hustle & bustle of the terminal, we offer a place to take some time out before your flight. There’s simply no better way to get your journey off to a flying start! Catch up on the news with our range of complimentary newspapers, enjoy WiFi or simply sit back & relax. Whilst in our lounge, you can enjoy delicious food and drink. Our bar is well stocked with drinks such as wines, beer and spirits, alongside tea, coffee, soft drinks and fresh fruit juice. We won’t lie, we are not a full-service restaurant offering an a la carte menu but we offer great food and drinks at whatever time of day you visit and it’s all included within your booking price*. *Champagne not included. Shown to our table by a friendly gentleman. Selection of food is very good. I would like slightly larger plates as I found myself going up a few times to fill up the small plates and was concerned. That we might have looked greedy but then thought, "Oh well."😀 Selection of drinks great once again served with a smile. Tables cleared quickly. I believe the lounge is being extended, which would be great. Nice to be in a nice environment without all the hassle of trying to find somewhere to sit, let alone something decent to est. - philip hBridlington, United Kingdom168 contributionsVery nice escape loungeBooked directly with escape lounge rather than used my priority pass which proved to be a good decision as people with PP were being put on a wait list and turned away. I was initially given a table nearer the top end of the lounge and asked to move further down as I wanted to be able to see out of the windows. That wasn't a problem and the lady seating us found us another table. In terms of views of the runway the lounge is not well positioned and the best seats in the lounge are reserved for the emirates business class customers. I did find this a little odd as I'm sure do the emirates customers. The lounge does have wifi which was a pleasent surprise after the east midlands escape lounge didn't earlier in the year. The food is the same as all the other escape lounges and does the job but its more nibbles than a full meal. The lady serving behind the bar was wonderful. Happy talkative and quick with the drinks she is a real asset to the lounge. Oh and she told me the real name for the pink prosecco :-) The lounge was pretty full but there was still plenty of space unlike some of the others and I never waited long for anything. We didn’t have to queue and were immediately taken to a table. We were happy with this although others asked to sit elsewhere if they wanted to. Food selection was very good and fresh. We were there around 12pm so there were breakfast pastries, bacon, hash browns, rolls. They also had a sandwich selection with crisps and a hot food selection. The hot food included pasta, cauliflower cheese and cottage pie. Drinks were self serve apart from the bar. Staff were friendly and helpful. - Andy CLondon, United Kingdom2 contributionsSadly disappointingThis lounge has winter hours and now closes at 7.30pm which is generally fine, however, really it closes at 645 or there about as all of the food and refreshments are closed down and it seems like the staff would not be paid after 7.30 and therefore want to get things cleared away. I understand the need for last orders and a time to eat the refreshments and feel that 7.15 would be a more appropriate time to start closing down for guests of the lounge. We were greeted by very friendly staff at the desk and were taken to a table, a table had been reserved for us but we chose to sit in a different one. I was quite impressed with the selection, there was fresh water melon, galia melon and pineapple alongside the usual bananas, apples and oranges, berries & yoghurt, a good selection of pastries and bread rolls. There was a hot breakfast buffet and vegetarian sausages could be cooked on request. We have a nice couple of hours in the lounge, good breakfast, a few glasses of Prosecco & friendly staff. - finnlagunLondon, United Kingdom468 contributionsElevated by cheerful staffStansted’s Escape Lounge is basically average by UK standards: the scrambled egg is always awful (please fix this, it’s always so watery yet dry at the same time) and the decor is not particularly nice. Nothing new there, then. What massively redeems this lounge versus others in the UK, however, is its staff. Regardless of the time of day, including the earliest hours of the morning, they are always a cheerful and well-organised team, and appear to have fun going going about their work. They efficiently manage the space they have and treat guests with warmth and good humour, including when the lounge is busy and occasionally hectic. I particularly like the fact they always appear to have a host responsible for seating guests; my feeling is this helps the team at Stansted ensure they only become ‘at capacity’ when they really, absolutely are (unlike the majority of UK airports which seem content to have an ‘at capacity’ sign up for swathes of the day — the only country on the planet to do so). Sparkling wine AND coffee machines were both broken on today’s visit, but, ultimately, if you can leave a lounge feeling relaxed and with a smile on your face because the staff have made you feel so welcome, that’s really the whole point. This lounge is obviously one in a proportionally very busy airport and with all the things that come with it; however, the lounge staff always makes one feel as appropriated as under the circumstances possible and frankly, much better than most not busy lounges. Visited on 28/02/2020. Staff were lovely but the lounge itself was abysmal. We had pre booked and were shown to the end of a bench seat with a small table and an uncomfortable chair both of which were not designed for comfort.. the table was too low to comfortably eat breakfast from and we asked a member of staff if we could move and she found us 2 slightly more comfortable armchairs.
The food offering at lunchtime was basic - soup, pasta, sandwiches with a selection of salads..

First time in the Escape Lounge here at Stansted Airport. Customer service is exceptional and given the restrictions imposed by Covid19 is especially good. We were speedily welcomed as soon as we arrived at reception by Hannah and she is looking after us as we speak. Nothing is too much trouble seemingly, we were seated in a comfy chair and right next to a charging point which is very handy. My wife has just been delivered a fresh glass of prosecco by Hannah as the previous glass was apparently flat. My wife didn't notice but the bar staff had noticed and that's excellent service right there. We both ate the cajun chicken with potatoes and it was delicious. We are here for a few hours more until our flight and we are both completely relaxed. There is music playing quietly in the background and just ambient noise. There are other people here and they are respectful of others around them. If you are deliberating whether this is worth the money then I'd advise to shell out for it, trust me you won't regret it. You'll be free of the hustle and bustle of the main terminal chaos and be treated well. What more could you ask for to prepare you for your flight. Its the perfect way to start your holiday. Can't recommend enough.

The staff were very friends and helpful however they had a limited menu which not mentioned when I booked it. I originally booked ages ago and then it was cancelled Via email with no reason (I presumed they were closed). I than had another email saying they cancelled it but error and to rebook it again to follow link.
Guess what the price had gone up from
What I originally paid and no one picked up the phone when I called
I paid the extra as wanted to go to the lounge, it was booked and confirmed on the 16th for a stay on 18th so when booking a message should of been displayed saying limited menu and no children’s menu
Also the price was the same for a full menu so surely it could of been cheaper
There was hardly any hot food and nothing for kids like chips or crips as the crips they had was more for adults
I would of at least expected chips or something for kids on the menu but it was just soup, sandwich but only a chose of 2 and 2 other meals.
I think a message should of been sent out and a bit more on the menu or basic food offered
Maybe a kids meal on there
Also the price should have been discounted as it was not food like normal

After many months of closure due to the pandemic, I have been eagerly awaiting the reopening of this lounge, I am a regular flyer and always enjoyed visiting this lounge previously but how very very disappointed I was this afternoon, the lounge was not too busy, as expected, but it had a very untidy look and feel about the place, considering it has been closed for several months I was surprised this wasn’t spent giving it a face-lift but times are very difficult and this can be forgiven.
On the other hand, the offering and presentation of the food cannot, what food was available was very limited and looked like it had been sat there for some time, they claim, “Whatever time of the day you visit, you'll find the menu packed with a range of delicious dishes - all freshly prepared daily on-site.” Well, this is far from the truth on this visit, they say pictures talk louder than words, so I have attached a few... This was the entire selection available.
Hardly “Luxury Airport Lounge at London Stansted Airport”.
If you are planning to book and pay for this lounge experience, I think you could well be disappointed, there are some fantastic bars and restaurants in the terminal, offering far better value for money, at approximately 30 per person for entry, the offerings are far from impressive.

Disappointing, they make one solo passenger with priority pass wait 90 minutes for entry I checked and I could go online and buy entry same day immediately which I took screen shots of and forwarded to American Express! Paying platinum membership of £575 a year and the lounge restricts access. It must be capacity issues you would think, so they are restricting priority pass members and I eventually get a text to go in and the place is half empty, literally half empty, they leave reserved signs on the tables for hours, nobody sitting on them, the furniture has seen better days it’s stained and really needs replacing, the food is veg curry and potatoes and chicken wings! Cold offering sandwiches, food is just ok- during covid shutdown would have been ideal to revamp this lounge it’s the only business lounge in the whole airport and it’s embarrassing, bring back the two No1 lounges that were smart and clean and fresh - if I can get in I get it free with PP if I had to pay I wouldn’t use it, there are better restaurants and bars, sorry Escape lounge this visit was not good at all

I am a regular user travelling up and down the country.
This often busy lounge will hopefully benefit from the forthcoming terminal extension (is that happening?)
The staff are very good always polite and patient with sometimes difficult customers.
I feel that I must make a special mention for Max who had a hellish shift on Friday 28/08/2020.
The lounge was extremely busy and there was the current added difficulty in respect of the COVID safety measures.
Max had reason to help two challenging customers who failed to appreciate the problems presented to staff by the circumstances outlined above.
I was sat near to the reception desk and couldn't help but hear their conversation.
Max handled the situation admirably and I was really impressed with his management and customer service skills.

Do not waste your money on this lounge. visited in August and found the whole experience disappointing, For a £50 entrance fee we had the choice of microwaved ho food or a sandwich which consisted of 3 triangles (So not a whole sandwich) which was pre made, hard and out of the fridge.
I have raised this with the customer service team and am still awaiting a satisfactory reply and the refund I was promised in August.
sadly there is no other choice of lounge at Stansted and whilst I appreciate Covid has had an eddevt on many business this was not what I conciderd acceptable good for longer, I could of got a whole sandwich from Boots.

Visited the lounge with 4 friends and was appalled by the poor customer care. We queued for 40 mins despite reserving in advance. The bar staff were rude and unhelpful and I was told that as the food and drink were complimentary I shouldn’t expect good service ! My response that I had paid for the privilege of such bad service was met with indifference

I will be fully investigating your comments with the team on duty as this is not how my team are expected to speak with guests in the lounge.
I apologise on behalf of the team regarding the issues you experienced, we do have a dedicated host on duty who seats and greets guests in the lounge, it is very unusual to wait more than a minute or two to be seated. I apologise for the wait you mention.

Once you get inside of this lounge, the place is actually very nice and not that crowded. But to get there, it's another story.
I hadn't known that it's the best to have a paid reservation to get inside of the lounge. So I ended up waiting in a long queue in front of the lounge. Everybody was standing there at the corridor without any seats with a luggage. The lounge is close to toilets so the traffic on the corridor is big also because of that. I was more exhausted form waiting that from anything else.
Staff working at the place is nice and the lady working at the entrance was also managing the situation nicely, trying to get inside everyone. She said that the problem was that a lot of people made the reservation on that day so the place was full.
Once you get inside, you get your own table, even if it's a table for 1 person, as it was in my case. That makes it very comfortable for your stay here and I haven't seen this in any other lounge before.

Came here with my family (partner and son) 3 weeks ago and was not overwhelmed but thought it ok. As the only lounge in Stansted I did not wait that as a priority pass I had to wait until a space became available. Was only about 20 mins and they do text you to let you know when it is free so that is a positive point. The food and drinks selection was ok for me. However, I came back as a single passenger for a business trip. Once again, I did not mind waiting for 20 mins for a space. However, single passengers are given a very tiny and worn out wooden desk rather than a table. I felt like a child in detention. There is room for a SMALL plate with food and drink or an ipad. NOT BOTH!!!! When you are paying the equivalent of 25 pound with a priority pass or MORE as a booked lounge visit, this is not good enough. Larger, more modern tables need to be used. Single passengers should not feel that we are being shoved in at the expense of the "premium" experience we expect to get. I appreciate it they do it this way to accommodate as many passengers as possible but I would like to remove the student desks and replace them with a table that can accommodate a lap top as well as a plate and drink.
So as a family I would have said 4 star. Would have made it a 5 if could pay extra to prebook like I do with No 1 lounges at gatwick. However, it lets solo passengers down very badly. I would have given it less but the danish pastries were quite tasty!

Hi, Is the Escape Lounge at Manchester worth it? I have to wait for EasyJet bag drop to open so I can drop off my bags beforehand. Wondering if I will get the chance for food and drink before having to board. Thanks

I’m I reading correctly that the toilets are still not working in airport escape lounge ? Why in 2024 someone isn’t capable of fixing this area please ? People pay a lot of money to use this lounge and you don’t even repair the loo

Usually airport lounges have their own facilities but at the escape lounge only 2 assessable toilets and guest generally expected to use the public ones upstairs which are the main airport ones.
They are quite unpleasant and the lounge ones I’m sure they keep one locked to avoid cleaning!

If you don't book in advance you probably won't get in. You can book 2 hours before your flight and I paid £36. But I'm not sure about prices as they might be different
