We visited the flea market in Bucerias while staying in the area. We bought our souvenirs here. We ate lunch at Fatboys restaurant and had lovely cocktails at Michael Angel's.
All very nice. Worth a short taxi ride from the Riu Vallarta.
Worth a visit, bring pesos and be prepared to get approached to buy things.

Bucerias is a quaint beach town. its peaceful and charming. Not as crowded as Puerto Vallarta but not totally off the beaten track. It has some cute little cafes and bars. Lovely golden sand beach. I love the fact its quite Family, Pet and relaxation...More

Other than landing at the airport and taking a taxi to our hotel in Bucerias we didn't venture out of the town. Just there for 10 days so spent a lot of time on the beach.Talking to others taxi or getting to know the bus system two main modes of getting around.
As you may know always negotiate the fare before getting into taxi.
The right change always when taking the bus...around 8-10 pesos..
