We checked out Coral beach when staying on Lipari, and found it to be ok in terms of facilities. However, when visiting a beach, we’re more interested in swimming than lying around on a beach lounge. You can enjoy the same crystal clear water at...More

Reasonably priced lido with friendly staff and a good restaurant. The lounge chairs are comfortable and good access to the water.

Rocky, so bring water shoes. Clean, friendly staff, bar and restaurant. Water was clean, one area screened off to completely prevent jellyfish from entering. Saw no jellyfish anywhere.

We spent 22 days in Canneto and this was the place to be every day on the beach enjoying great food, drinks, coffee and listening to cool music. Pepe the host was always happy to help and make sure you were comfortable on the beach

The private beach is with easy access to the sea (its not sand though, so better not having sensitive feet), but thats merely it: no towel to offer, no service at matresses, disposable dirty toilets...view is nice but not stunning either You get chairs and...More

VIK Club Coral Beach Playa Blanca (7 Replies)
Hi I have just booked a week in this Hotel in August, which is supposed to be in Playa Blanca. However the map shows the complex to be in Bejo de San Jacinto. Can anyone tell me how close resort in Playa Blanca area with bars and restaurants is from the hotel? Also has anyone stayed at this hotel? Thanks.

As far as I know it is not due to open until May. I would estimate that it would be about a 40 min walk to the middle of Playa Blanca.

Skye / Harris / St Kilda Trip (7 Replies)
Hey all! After spending 3 nights over New Years on Skye, we are planning a longer trip for summer 2017. At the moment our itinerary is as follows: D1 - Skye D2 - Skye D3 - Harris D4 - Harris D5 - Harris (St Kilda) D6 - Skye D7 - Skye While we have visited/walked/climbed a lot of 'main attractions' (Quiraing, Old Man of Storr, Neist Point, Coral Beach, Fairy Pools) of Skye, we were a little limited due to the amount of daylight, so we want to revisit and see everything...More

On Lewis Harris the obvious is Luskentyre Beach, try for a weekday as it will be packed on weekends. South of Leverburgh there is a nice ancient chapel at Rodel at the southernmost point. Take the tiny single track road from Leverburgh to Tarbert to see the unique rock formations evoking a lunar landscape. There is a nice walk out to Toe Head just north of Leverburgh. A ferry goes out of Leverburgh to St Kilda and there is a nice seafood restaurant out by the ferry dock. Farther north on...More
