Lovely old burgh with tiny paths and stairs, old buildings (some, unfortunately, falling apart) and caves. On the top of the hill, the castle. A visit is worth also for the people (but this holds basically for the whole Irpinia) kind and friendly.

Many interesting hidden places to explore and artifacts to see. Worth the climb to the very top for a beautiful panoramic view of Calitri.

You need to like to walk and can endure steep walkways. Once to the top it is not bad to navigate. There is a lot of history and architecture is astounding. Pretty vistas from the top.

What a beauty. The views are awesome. The people are friendly. The walk in the Borgo takes you back to the Middle Ages. Don't miss it.

The castle itself might be long gone, but the surrounding area gives you a real sense of how it must have been. The views of the surrounding countryside are uniquely beautiful.

A must when in or near Calitri. It's beyond beautiful. It's amazing how they used to climb to the top of those mountains in the old days on a donkey. One of the most beautiful renaissance towns I have ever seen.
