    A Wonderful Petit Museum!
Found this museum by accident when visiting the parmigiana cheese museum and we loved it! The owner Mauro was very friendly and taught us so much! We often see antique machines and equipment in museums sitting behind glass cases, but Mauro actively showed us how every machine worked up close. Our 5 year old child especially enjoyed this museum and Mauro even gave her a small gift for the road. Definitely recommend this wonderful petit museum if you are nearby!

A glance into the local agriculture
Mauro showed us around his museum and was so friendly!! He explained all the interesting details behind the local agriculture and has such an amazing collection of tools and machinery. Even with our broken Italian we managed to understand his story and really recommend visiting.

Excelent. You must visit to learn about the recent past of life in the area
A different museum. A personal museum. A life experience of the one who runs the museum. A life in a room. A chance discovery but one of the most humane visits in the area. Thank you for letting us live part of your life

An insight into life as it used to be
Very interesting visit especially if you speak Italian. The person that created and still manages the collection has a lot of knowledge and interesting anecdotes to share. A great way to get to know how life was in these areas.

    Highly Recommend
Enjoyed the self guided tour with the audio downloads. I have an agriculture background and it was interesting and insightful that the cheese is still mainly produced as it was back when it was invented. Mauro was the highlight. I don't speak or understand Italian but he was so energetic and happy to show us everything . My backgroung in agriculture helped me understand about 80% of his presentation. I think it was well worth the 2.5 hrs if you are curious as to how things are and were made.

Incredible tour of Italian farming history
Il Museo della Civiltà Contadina is an incredible time capsule of Italian history. Mauro was incredibly knowledgeable and guided us through a detailed tour of his collection of farming tools and machines to paint a picture of what farming life was like in the region. I highly recommend stopping here along with the Museo di Parmigiano Reggiano for a rich experience!

Very interesting place. Mauro keeps alive our past, reminds us how we shall live and to be grateful for all the conveniences we have. Would definitely suggest it, give it some of your time to make you think of life through th last centuries.

This tour was the best of the trip! The guide was hilarious and so knowledgeable! Can't believe agriculture can be this entertaining. Be sure to pay attention to the sound effects. No need to know Italian.

This was a fabulous museum, made all the more engaging thanks to the tour provided by Mauro - his enthusiasm and sense of humor made the objects come alive! Even if you don't speak Italian, his presentation is hands-on and expressive!

One of the best museums in the region. Friendly guide and clear explanation. All items are really old and useful with a live show on how each item work.
