Exactly what you expect a castle to be. It's also lucky to be much loved and therefore well maintained. The museum in the interior halls is full of antique objects that give you an idea of what life was like in the Middle Ages.

Good option for 1-2 hrs trip with kids. Stunning view from the top. Very interesting to see and learn about the history of this place .

Perched on the hills a few miles from Trento is the village of Stenico dominated by its magnificent medieval castle. The castle is very well kept and commands breath taking views of the surrounding areas including the waterfalls

I have been to many castles in my time and this is an excellent one. Entry was €7 pp. Content stunning and interesting. Well presented rooms, variety of exhibits. Views are also amazing over Riva del Garda.

A very quaint little town well maintained with a nice castle and waterfall. If you like nature walks there are a few scenic trails that will take you up over the waterfall There are no restaurant in Stenico about a kilometer away is Dolongno Pizza...More
