We toured with Natale and Brio the family house and forest that has been in the family for years. Natale said his grandchildren with be the sixth generation of Trifolau. We were fortunate enough to learn the education on the family and truffles and then hunt with Brio who found three black truffles! After, we enjoyed cheese topped with truffles,... More

We went to La Casa during our honeymoon this summer and we had a briliiant day. It was such an interesting visit, Natalie was our Trifulau that day and Brio our truffle hunting dog. We meet Natalie and learnt lots about truffles and how they grow whilst over looking the beautiful back drop of the hills and valleys. Then we... More

I hesitate to write a review of this experience, as the Trifulau's don't want their secrets being shared. That being said, this was such a very cool, interesting and unique experience that I must do so and give this my highest recommendation. Natale is a wonderful person, with much passion about the truffles, dogs and local culture. You will learn... More

This was one of the highlights of a two-week trip to Northern Italy. Natale, the Trifulau, is passionate about truffles, life, wine, dogs, women, and spending a few hours with him was like being with an old friend. The experience itself--from learning about the truffles to meeting the dogs to going out on an actual hunt for black truffles and... More

I had no idea what to expect from a truffle hunt and was somewhat skeptical about if it was the real deal, or just a walk in the woods setup for tourists. It turned out to be one of those classic experiences that you will always remember and is run by a family that has been in the business for... More

The brothers are so friendly, so knowledgeable and hospitable. You'll learn more about truffles, have a chance to talk to real trifulau (truffle hunters), meet the dogs, go for a real truffle hunt, taste the truffles, local wine and cheese. Such a wonderful adventure. We took our family ranging in age from 3 to 74 and all of us loved... More

Great morning! We arrived a little late, although not deliberately, or by habit, it didn't seem to phase the owners of this business. We started in a room so filled with the smell of white truffles it was delightfully intoxicating. We were given a detailed explanation of all things truffles and were allowed to ask questions at any time. Then... More

We enjoyed our time at La Casa Del Trifulau. After a short introductory session on the historical and folklore of the truffle we met the dogs and went on the hunt. We booked it on our own and found it to be a wonderful afternoon. The two brothers work in tandem one indoors and the other on the hunt. We... More

This was part of a wine and food tour. The Owner put on one of the best shows about food I have ever seen. There was the history of Trifulau. The show of the hunting dogs. The walk in the near by mountain. The hunt with the dogs for the prize and the finding of the Trifulau on the mountain.... More

Our agriturismo booked this tour at our request. We were interested, but didn't really know what to expect. The very personable Natalie began the tour by giving us a very good briefing on truffles. In addition, we learned about the dogs and their training. I was not wearing the best shoes, so I was offered a pair of boots. We... More
