When in Costigliole D'Asti this vineyard is well work a visit. The Balau which is an award winning Barbera D'Asti is superb, the Cleto and Puro are great white wines and their Moscato is also another winner. Make time to drop in you'll be pleasantly surprised

I visited this winery with a friend as it is just across the valley from our respective houses. Despite a bit of cross country driving through the vineyards to get there (the road was temporarily shut) we found it. We were warmly welcomed by Gabriele and his mum. Although well signposted from the main road, its a little way uphill along a winding road until you reach the Cantina Baldi Pierfranco. Well worth the effort however, the friendly Baldi family will introduce you to their surprisingly varied selection of wines, all made with care and dedication.
