It's a cute monastery but what a disappointment to find out that ladies can not enter the church... 😕 It was quite a bummer to feel discriminate against... In the end it didn't matter because even though we were there on a Monday at 15h...More

After visiting many places on the island this monastery is worth a visit. Good thing for men is that you can tease the women about what you saw inside the church, which is forbidden for women....

Very nice monastery, definitely worth a visit....if you are a man. The central church and most beautiful area with amazing frescoes is prohibited for access to women since the 16th century...

Nicely situated monastery. The museum has a collection of interesting icons, artifacts and historical documents. The main church is beautifully decorated, but men only.

little bit northwest of Kalloni there is this huge monastry, with a lot of small chapels outside. Inside there is a totally different world, There are lots or various trees in the yard which I guess were brought there throughout the years and centuries. Wonderful...More
