    Nice beach without big waves
In te middle is nice and calm sandy beach with clear water. Plenty of locals on weekends. On windy day it's nice to be here, because it's not so big waves. Snorkling was popular. For handicap persons possibility go for swim even it's sandy beach? Umbrellas available or shadows under trees. Two bars on the beach also. If you will follow beach line on right side you will find nice caves. Bus 21 will stop very close to the beach.

    Great Beach on a Lagoon
We really loved this beach. It's busy as it's near the city, but was sheltered for swimming/snorkeling and of course it had beautiful clear water. 15E is a bit steep for the sunbeds and parasol, they are not that comfortable. Good vibe at the local Taverna.

    Worth it
Absolute gorgeous beach with lifeguard and friendly staff. The beach was clean. Beautifull landscape. Highly recommend. The only negative thing that is one sunbed+umbrella is 10 euros and I think it’s a little bit overpriced.

Ok a nice place near by the town to have a sunbath or a swimming there . There are 3 little gulfs in this area and i went to the 2 of these in the east side. There were sunbeds and umbrellas and i paid 12€ for a set that i believe is expensive because in Plakias i paid 6€ for this!!!

Caught the bus (#21) from Chania. Buy return tickets in town. Return bus stop is opposite Giannis Beach Place, just around the bend.
The beach isnt very clean, loads of cigarette butts and bottle tops and small debris. But if you chose your spot well, you will be okay.
The sea is great, a long ledge before it gets deep.
Plenty bars offering beds and umbrellas if you're there all day and are happy to order your drinks and food.
It's convenient to Chania, but not the best beach around.

This is a local beach with lots of families enjoying it. Lovely shallow water and little fish who nibble your feet. Not an amazing beach but comfortable, friendly and everything you need in a relaxed way. Pretty views fo the bay.
Food and drinks available. Two loungers and umbrella for 7 euros provided by a very friendly man.
Spent two very relaxing days here.

When other Evia beaches are windy, this one stays calm and the water flat, thanks to the large bay and harbour wall. Water is very clear, good for swimming. There are plenty of tavernas by the waterfront.

This is a great beach on which to spend a day. A short bus ride from Chania; number 21 from 1866 square every 20 minutes. Good swimming with a shallow gradient into deeper water, so good for children. Shops and cafes all close by.
If you stand still in the water, the fish will come and nibble at your feet. Beware the Weaver fish that hides just under the sand, if you tread on one of these you will get a painful sting. If it happens to you, go and see the Lifeguards straight away. They will have the skills to treat the sting.

Arrived here super excited to see how crystal clear the water was! Purchased 2 sun beds (without parasol) for €5. Got straight into the sea... only to be bitten and chased by some pesky fish! One even drew blood, got straight out the ocean and into the car!! Also the facilities are to be desired.
