We are an innovative Islay distillery producing unpeated Bruichladdich, heavily peated Port Charlotte and super-heavily peated Octomore single malt whiskies. We use a wide range of barley types, including organic and bere, grown on a variety of terroirs including Islay. We also distill The Botanist gin. Mary at the Laddieshop will be glad to organise a tour of our distillery for you and the distilling team will happily answer any questions you may have.

We went on the very interested tour, great to see production more or less the same as when it first opened. At the end we sampled some great whisky and maybe just maybe bought 3 bottles. Tour was £5 which gave you a voucher back for £5 off a purchase. Would definitely recommend.

We did not know what to expect when we joined a tour of this distinctive North Islay distillery. In addition to showing us the various stages of the distilling process, Laura Jane filled in some of the history of the distillery and its important role in the Islay economy. The tour ended in the tasting room, where the friendly, informative... More

They will let you sample whatever you want. We couldn't take the tour as there was none left for the day. They were so nice they had one of the workers take us on a personal tour for Free. Must visit.

A must see! Great location, doing things differently, producing Gin, only place on Islay. Octomore is the ultimate version of the peaty and smoky whisky!

Wonderful tour! Every distillery we've visited has given us new information. We were particularly impressed by the tasting at the end of the tour. Unlike others that give you a dram or two, you could taste as many whiskies that you wanted - you simply got a splash of one then could move on to another. This allowed us to... More

We booked a tour, arrived early only to find out that the tour had been postponed for and hour. A very nice employee offered to give us a private guided tour of the distillery, followed by a whisky and gin tasting. All for free. It's a brilliant distillery and the people here understands how to progress. And the whiskies and... More

Heather our tour guide was knowledgeable and witty. The distillery is unique in that it sources all Islay products for some of its whiskeys; and that many of is mechanics are over 130 years old. Great tour, too bad we missed the Botanist tour. Next time!

We loved our tour of Bruichladdich Distillery, with our tour guide Heather. She was very knowledgeable about every step of the process and we learned a lot about the history of the place and its wonderful old equipment. Interesting to taste the different whiskies and learn about the peating process. Definitely not "touristy". Great gift shop, too!

A group of six of us visited the tour yesterday at 1pm and really enjoyed it. Tour guide and hospitality were spot on.
