The distillery has a lovely atmosphere and we were made to feel very welcome. We chatted to several members of the team and we recognised our Tour Guide, Ashley, as she had been on our tour of Bowmore the day before. She was great, I...More

100% Worthwhile, good tour guides, good stories, good drams. They are very generous with drams at Bruichladdich. I wish I had more time there!

The perfect merge of the place, story behind, guide and whisky produced here. Tour guided with passion, with reasonable marketing bullsh*, showing the real way of making whisky and gin. Great hospitality and customer care. Nothing to complain. You have new brand ambassadors in me!

This was my favourite distillery and tour. It probably helped that I’m not really a whisky drinker and much prefer gin as they also make the Botanist gin there. Our guide was very knowledgable and first shared the history of the distillery before showing us...More

Bruichladdich remains the most cosy and welcoming of all Islay distilleries, even with more and more whisky tourists overfloating this tiny island.

Also.. this years schedules for most places on islay aren’t usually up until sometime in February. Reach out directly to them though. You may not need to use the online booking system when the schedule goes live.

This means that the lochs the distilleries draw their water from are not being topped up and are soon emptied. Now five of the 10 distilleries on the island have stopped production. One of those affected is the Bruichladdich distillery. Managing director Mark Rynier...More
