We are an innovative Islay distillery producing unpeated Bruichladdich, heavily peated Port Charlotte and super-heavily peated Octomore single malt whiskies. We use a wide range of barley types, including organic and bere, grown on a variety of terroirs including Islay. We also distill The Botanist gin. Mary at the Laddieshop will be glad to organise a tour of our distillery for you and the distilling team will happily answer any questions you may have.

My parents and I visited Bruichladdich Distillery after recommendation and it was great. The visit took about 1h30 and was very interesting as the distillery although now part of a big group still works with very old machines and quite independently. A must oN the island

Dropped in here to take a look at the historic building and to taste the gin. We were made most welcome and spent time soaking up the atmosphere. Well worth the visit.

The Botanist Tour is, I guess, a relatively new tour around Bruichladdich distillery - the only whisky distillery with a (fabulous) gin in its portfolio. Tour guide Heather led us around the distillery to the Lomond still "Ugly Betty" (obviously the "beast ;-)), giving interesting insights into its latest history and the idea behind and the process of making gin.... We called in for just a tasting rather than a tour and were made just as welcome. There is a lovely shop and very friendly staff who were more than happy to let us taste both the whisky and the distillery's gin, which we subsequently bought to bring home. Thoroughly recommend a visit!

Excellent tasting in the warehouse! Had 3 drams and I loved them! Heather was very good host with her expertism and she seem to had answer to every question. Even the group was quite big, she created very nice and warm athmosphere (Yes, it was not only the whisky!!) and we laughed a lot. Staff at the visitor centre were... More

I've been many times to Bruichladdich and I've done different kinds of tours. No matter which experience you choose, you'll never be disappointed. My cousin and I just went for a Warehouse tasting today and we had a wonderful time. We got to taste a 27 year old Bruichladdich whisky, a 14 year old Port Charlotte and a 12 year... More

We booked on the Warehouse experience and were not disappointed - a very knowledgable staff member walked us through the history and talked about the tastings. Would definitely recommend!

My college and I visited bruickladdick after visiting many other distilleries and we were met by an overwhelming islay welcome from heather. Heather welcomed us and unfortunately we had missed the standard tour which we had hoped to go on. However heather being someone who is passionate about her work took us quickly around the distillery which we appreciated very... More

Had a fantastic visit to Bruichladdich Distillery. Great to be back and see what changed. Out guide was great and made us very welcome. Nice to be remembered by the on duty Stillman too. If you only visit 1 distillery on Islay then this is the one to see .

The tour of the distillery was very interesting and most affordable. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. The whisky and gin, it was very, very, good, in fact, I'd like to use an expletive to describe just how good it was, but I shall refrain.
