I had a friend over and she asked me for wines from the island. I took her to Casa del Vino so she had a wine tasting. The lady who helped us was really kind and knowledgeable. She told us lots of things. We chose the wines based on her recommendations. I had 3 glasses of wine and some local... More

After walking around in the place and the museum we had a bottle of good wine with a cheese plate. We thought the food was too expensive and the place was lonely and surprisingly almost empty of people.

We stopped there on our way from bodega Monje (which, btw, we didn't like at all). This restaurant offers a panoramic view to the ocean from the cliff from some of the tables, good choice of local wines (including 5 or 7 by glasses) and very original wine list on the bottle :). The food was decent and the choice... More

The centre is quite rambling but the museum is good but may be a little too detailed for the casual visitor. I enjoyed the displays, well explained in English, giving the background to the different wine types. The actual wine tasting was not that rewarding but the shop had a tremendous range of wines and Canarian products- honey, cheese, sauces... More

Four of visited yesterday as a prelude to an excellent jazz concert by Havana Vibes at the same venue. Every dish a delight. We shared 3 starters which included a local 'stew' and croquettas with tuna and walnuts with a banana sauce (sounds odd, but don't knock 'till you try it - delicious!). Main courses were a mouthwatering sirloin, bacalao... More

Good wine, very exclusive and nice service. Nothing in the museum is in English. Great view outside, very good tapas. A bit too expensive for my taste

Really nice museum that gives a lot of information on different methods of cultivating vineyards in Tenerife. We also had a wine, cheese and honey tasting...AMAZING! Great service, good prices and the view of the Teide in a clear day is stunning.

Situated on the outskirts of El Sauzal, large car park. It's a bit of everything: museum, old finca, vineyard, wine tasting, shop and restaurant with panoramic view. Smaller glasses of wine available during the tasting if you still have to drive. Some excellent bottles for sale in the shop. Decent food and wine in the restaurant with a breathtaking panorama... To get there from Puerto you can use the 101 bus, drive along TF 5, or if you have a party of people then a taxi isn't too bad. If you're looking for road signs ......it is signposted as casa del vino/casa de miel, combining the twin delights of local wine and honey. It is often referred to as a... More

The casa del vino is not connected to any special bodega, they are privately operated and have a great selection of wines from all regions of Tenerife. Any time there are 16 wines available for tasting, the selection of these wines changes every 2 weeks. Tasting is not free, you can either get glasses of 0.1l or just a tiny... More
