We did a day trip to Cayo Jutias from Viniales. We decided to share a taxi with other couple and paid 20 CUC per person. The ride was so slow, and it took almost 2 hours to get there (around 60km)- the road is full...More

This beach is gorgeous although difficult to reach, still it was populated with many tourists, although possibly not as many as in the resorts in Varadero. One can walk 30 minutes in one direction or another along the coast to arrive to areas where there...More

Cayo Jutias is my preferred beach. I would qualify it as top ten from what I know, and I know a good bunch. Just walk to "playa de las estrellas" (stars beach) or enjoy a mojito at "La Juguera".

In February 2018 in Cayo Jutias I was burned by a man-of-war, a creature similar to a jellyfish. There were a lot of these animals in the water, and there are no warnings on the beach. The man-of-war can be dangerous, especially for children or...More

After an one-hour ride of Vinales by taxi, we were in "paradise on Earth". Amazing place with blue sea, worth to go further and behind the restaurant, there is more privacy :)

Took a day trip from Vinales by taxi collectivo arranged by our casa particular host. We paid 20CUC return per person for the taxi but it should be possible to get for 15CUC. Cayo Jutias itself is a quiet beach that has all the facilities...More

Nice and clean beach, only 15 CUC round trip in a taxi colectivo from Vinales, definitely recommend! Text my friend Roy on his whatsapp to organize it quickly: +393472552131 There's a few bars/coffee shops there, so great to have lunch or a drink and enjoy...More

We did it as a day trip from Vinales. We paid 20CUC per person for the round trip ride which was quite long and bumpy. It has beautiful beaches and very warm and clear water.

Ah, I forgot something. The road from Santa Lucia to Cayo Jutias is pancake flat but it is also in very bad condition. It is no more than 14 Km long. In between it is pretty much nothing.

We stayed in: Casa Cusy in santa lucia (see airbnb) Very nice people! Due to the bad road to jutias the few miles to it took an hour or so. Probably they fixed the road last year. Don’t think there is a casa on jutias beach. More
