Our visit to Experimentarium did not start too well. The entrance price was eye-wateringly high (as almost everything in CPH), 70 euros for parents and one kid. The loos were not very clean, towels and soap were hard to come by, which is downright surprising during these pandemic days.

However, our 8-year-old — a very seasoned science exhibition visitor — fell in love with the exhibition. We ended up spending almost five hours on the first floor, and especially the team games were very entertaining. There is a second floor, as well, but we only had fifteen minutes with the soap bubbles there, as we needed to catch our flight.

As a science exhibition, this is more entertaining than educating. While there are activities for people of all ages, this is certainly aimed at smaller folks (maybe 4–10 yrs). Many activities were out of order due to aging and deteriorating equipment (Windows 7 computers needing frequent reboots, etc.)

Getting to and from Experimentarium is relatively straightforward. However, as the last leg from the train/metro station is by bus, the connections are not very reliable. The large number of options (several train/S train/M stations along the bus route, multiple bus lines with slightly different options, several train lines running through each station) makes finding the best option with Rejseplanen quite tedious.

Walking to Hellerup or Svanemøllen S train stations (both slightly over 1 km from Experimentarium) is probably the easiest and fastest way, if your kids are comfortable with walking.

Overall, this earns an "Excellent", but renovating things a bit would make it even excellentier.

Huge place with two floors full of different exhibits with different themes changing from time to time.
You might want to look at their homepage and see the age recommendation for the exhibits beforehand and decide a possible visit as we experienced some of them to difficult for our kids to follow.

Expensive but many hours of fun - skip the souvenir store.

We visited as it was one of the activities included in the Copenhagen card. It was well worth the trip out of the centre of Copenhagen (a couple of stops on the train or an hour's walk). It was a brilliant day out, there was so much to do we didn't get chance to do everything. It is very interactive and our children (aged 10 and 12) absolutely loved it. There were so many interactive exhibits-bubbles, a storm simulator, a sensory experience, team activities and a theatre to name a few. There were live science displays as well-the staff were very fluent in both Danish and English (and switching between the two) very impressive. It is the best science museum we have visited and if it was closer to home (England!!) we would definitely be back.

I visited Copenhagen with my 9 and 11 year old boys in late November. On the recommendation of Trip Advisor we picked the Experimentarium on one of our earlier days in the trip. My boys loved it so much we went back again for several hours later in our visit.

We had the Copenhagen Card which made the visits entirely free, otherwise it would have gotten a little expensive for transportation and entrance fees. It is still a bit of a hike from central Copenhagen but it's well worth it. There are almost two floors full of engaging activities as well as a nice cafeteria. On both of our visits there were a number of school groups but we never felt that the Experimentarium was crowded or that the activities were inaccessible. The cafeteria got a little crowded during lunch time but that was pretty easily avoided by waiting a little bit later to eat.

Good fun and definitely worth a visit, but for 200dkk there simply isn't enough to do. The focus on kid's entertainment is understandable, but so much more could be done to keep visitors of all ages entertained. There was a half-price entry offer a few days before we visited - for 100dkk we all would have been thoroughly satisfied with the variety of exhibits.

What a museum! Even though we read about it and had high expectations, this is really wow!! Our 3y old daughter had a blast but it was so interesting for us as parents as well 🤣

High quality facilities, such a creativity booster, kids adore it. By far the best Copenhagen activity for kids. And in any city that we have visited till now. Absolute MUST SEE and GO

Price for 2 adults and 3y old kid is cca 70eur. Pricey as everything in CH, but this one fully worth it as you can be there whole day.

We have been in June 21, masks are not needed in Denmark, but you can enter only if you have vaccine, negative test or recovered. As there was basically barely any tourists, place was not crowded and we enjoyed every moment.

We came to spend a couple of hours and ended up spending nearly 3,5hours.
The place is full of activities and our children of 7 and 9 loved it. Especially the experiments on colours, lights/shadows, but also on weight/kinetics and so on where very interesting!
There were a few waiting lines for popular activities but all in all a smooth experience.

It was easy to while away an hour or so in this fun emporium. Within a background of the former brewery with brick walls, inventive and creative exhibits illustrating science and its exciting contents do just that.

Over a couple of floors colourful and engaging experiments and displays grab the attention, of all ages but directed primarily towards children and teenagers.

Wonderful! Really Worth visiting ! Entry tickets free as I had already Copenhagen card ! Interactive learning for the children with family with a loads of fun. Thoroughly enjoyed every moment we spent there.in fact one could spend the whole day doing all activities without getting bored. The picnic lunch area too was great! Never tasted black hotdog before.. but it seems was an experimental as well and was quite interesting as well.
Highly recommend to all for all age groups! Worth the money and time!

Excellent science museum, everything was hands-on and interactive for children. Really interesting exhibits. The sensory tunnel and film were very good. The kids loved the construction zone and the bubble area. The cafe was nice but very expensive. Entry and transport to the museum was free with our Copenhagen cards.
