Could be so much more
Aug 2020
Good fun and definitely worth a visit, but for 200dkk there simply isn't enough to do. The focus on kid's entertainment is understandable, but so much more could be done to keep visitors of all ages entertained. There was a half-price entry offer a few days before we visited - for 100dkk we all would have been thoroughly satisfied with the variety of exhibits.

Kid friendly science museum
Aug 2020 • Family
Excellent science museum, everything was hands-on and interactive for children. Really interesting exhibits. The sensory tunnel and film were very good. The kids loved the construction zone and the bubble area. The cafe was nice but very expensive. Entry and transport to the museum was free with our Copenhagen cards.

Expensive playground
Aug 2020
Experimentarium is quite big and there are lots of activities, but on our visit a lot of them were broken or closed off. It became tiresome explaining to my 6-yr old that unfortunately, no, this doesn't work either.
There were lots of people, and the more interesting activities had queues which seemed to move very slowly.
Overall, we spent 2 and 3/4 hours and it felt rather too much like a big, kids playground, with lots of ways to get your hands wet/dirty, rather than a coherent science exhibition. Perhaps for older kids, with patience and reading ability, there is some science to be learnt.
Because of the Danish government's 'summer-pack' entry was half-price - I would have been mightily disappointed if I had paid full price (199DKK for adults, 119DKK for kids).
The best bit of the visit for us was when one of the staff (Magnus) spotted my daughter exploring the teddy bear x-ray activity (!) and took the time to show her some skeleton parts (arm bones, leg bones etc.) and explained to her about the different types of joints. He really knew how to engage with a 6-yr-old so that she was interested and learned something. Of course, I don't expect them to have the resources to give such personal treatment to every visitor.

Hallo Nice that you think we are an exciting place. First, I want to say that we always have a repair team going around fixing the setups. That being said, it can not be completely avoided that something is out of order. This especially on days, when we have a lot of visitors. Thanks for the roses🌹 to Magnus. I will pass them on to him. We really appreciate that you as a guest express how your experience has been. We are in a difficult time, which is new to everyone and we are constantly trying to adjust the visit based on our guests' experiences. Anyway hope to see you out here again. Sincerely Jeanette W/Experimentarium🙃

Fun for Families
Jul 2020 • Family
We came to spend a couple of hours and ended up spending nearly 3,5hours.
The place is full of activities and our children of 7 and 9 loved it. Especially the experiments on colours, lights/shadows, but also on weight/kinetics and so on where very interesting!
There were a few waiting lines for popular activities but all in all a smooth experience.

Do not pass this up if you have kids.
Nov 2019
I visited Copenhagen with my 9 and 11 year old boys in late November. On the recommendation of Trip Advisor we picked the Experimentarium on one of our earlier days in the trip. My boys loved it so much we went back again for several hours later in our visit.

We had the Copenhagen Card which made the visits entirely free, otherwise it would have gotten a little expensive for transportation and entrance fees. It is still a bit of a hike from central Copenhagen but it's well worth it. There are almost two floors full of engaging activities as well as a nice cafeteria. On both of our visits there were a number of school groups but we never felt that the Experimentarium was crowded or that the activities were inaccessible. The cafeteria got a little crowded during lunch time but that was pretty easily avoided by waiting a little bit later to eat.

Bring kids or be a kid
Oct 2019
We visited free as part of the Copenhagen Card. It as a bit of a distance from downtown Copenhagen but we caught the public bus to get here. The experimentarium is divided into 4 levels with each level exploring each facet of science & technology.

Plenty, if not most of the exhibits are hands-on. Definitely lots of learning experiences for kids. As an adult I found it to be fun and engaging and some of the puzzles/brain teasers on the top floor were challenging. There were some hands-on exhibits that kids may get wet playing with rubber ducks (learning about flow of water) or blowing bubbles so maybe have a towel handy.

In the lobby, the gift shop was well-stocked with brain-puzzles toys. The ticket also come with lockers for bag storage. The experimentarium is wheel-chair/pram friendly with an elevator and ramps.

Overpriced
Dec 2019
Extremely disappointing. Definitely not worth the money. Went here with my two daughters (3 and 10 years old) on a rainy day. Most of the activities are very simple that you could easily do at home. Many activites were out of order.
