Rather far from the city, but somewhat nearer to airport. Picked up this course,as I understood, was designed by Arnold Palmer, but was disappointed with the course layout and maintenance.

Golf in Thailand
Dec 2018 • Friends
Relatively long trip for me to get there. About an hour travel time. The facility is excellent compared to North American standards. Clubhouse is roomy and comfortable, change facilities excellent and the restaurant food is good. The course does not have many mature trees so the appearance is wide open. Like many courses in Thailand the water reservoirs are plenty, unlike some others these ones come into play on many holes if your tee shorts are even a little off line. Overall an enjoyable day, but be prepared for the day to be a full one.

Hidden Gem for a great golf experience
Nov 2018 • Business
Bang Poo Golf in Samutprakarn is an old golf course that in the past was very difficult to get to. However with a new overpass over Thepparak Road it is now much more accessible. Reasonable Price Great greens and not too many players.

Disappointing
Sep 2018 • Friends
This is an attractive and well maintained golf course, and unlike many of the other courses in the area, there are not too many water hazards, making enjoyable for occasional golfers.

However our golf experience was spoilt by rude & unfriendly caddies and the worse on course food provision we have ever experienced in Thailand.

The caddies were slow, lacking in knowledge of the course, setting off noisily before everyone had teed off and generally disinterested.

There are a number of comfort stations out on the course, however the range of food available was very poor. When we asked if there were any bananas we were told that it was wrong day off the week; ‘Come on a Monday for bananas’

A really shame, if it were better managed we would return....

Average golf experience in BKK
Jan 2018
Golf in Bangkok on weekdays on the last morning tee-off time is the best time one could have as it looks like you could have the whole course to yourself if there is no event. This golf also has good proximity to Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Bangpoo is a nice well-maintained golf course with rather flat terrain but pools of water here and there. The 5 of us liked the golf experience there but as one who played many golf courses in Bangkok, this is still not up to par with 2nd tier BKK courses.

Some gripes:-

- The marshal and the starter hut are same person. The starter hut is not really stocked up. Ice have to be taken at the main clubhouse and as a beer drinker during golf, this is not a good thing.

- The expectations of a standard halfway house per 3 holes is not there. There is only one halfway house per nine that is open. Probably because the course is not crowded and I totally understand that.

- The food after our golf game was terrible. Friends ordered pat thai, fried rice and green curry. Well my fried rice was horrible. The rice is wet and soggy. My friends pat thai looks like a quick frying job of a bunch of noddles and vegetables. Probably the green curry is of acceptable standards. Service was slow as there is only one person waiting on us with the usual 2-3 tables occupied. Suspect cook has changed or went on leave, as the good reviews on the food here seems to be contradicting? This is also the main point why I had downgraded this to 3 stars as I feel the golf course deserve 4 stars at least.

Many good 2nd tier BKK golf course to recommend instead of this:-
1) Lam Luk Ka
2) Cascata
3) Suwan
4) Bang Sai

Great Thai Food
Nov 2016 • Business
Went to this location for a quick lunch, they served Thai food
Probably one of the better Thai food that I have tasted, won't dare to say they are very authentic, but the taste really balanced. I believe the taste may have adjusted to suit more customers, as this is probably one of the (not many) choices in Bangpoo area for business lunch

Service is good, and very attentive.

Worth a visit.

(didn't play golf, thus no comment)

A very beautiful golf course. I had the chance to do a business lunch at the restaurant. Super loved the food there! They serve mouth watering authentic thai dishes! Wish to go back again...god willing :D
