The Kolsoi National Park is absolutely beautiful, particularly the Sunken Forest but also the lower lake. We found it to be very much uyieter than the Sunken Forest but it has the same intoxicating peace and beauty. Beautiful calm waters, majestic trees and utter serenity.
Not far from Saty, a 4W drive is needed to explore the national park. We hired ours from Saty.

There are ample hiking and walking trails around this gorgeous lake. Be careful of the horse trail, it's pretty messy, especially after a hard rain. The lake is beautiful. You can see clearly down to the bottom. There is a lovely restaurant at the top and boats you can rent during the day.

It was worthy to visit incredible lake in winter time! It was frozen and was so beautiful so that didn't want to leave this place. It's a perfect place to take wonderful winter photos and videos! Look at my some photos from there! We were so staying in Sati village where you can find the homestay easily. It takes around 40-50 min to get to Kolsai from Sati!

This lake is easily accessible by road and you do not have to walk or need horses here.
There was boating facility available and the lake was beautiful.
There were trees growing inside the water and horizontal to the waters surface.
You need to visit Kolsai and Kandy to appreciate nature's beauty.
There is a Kolsai 2 lake which is 2 to 3 kms walking from lake one so if you have time on your side you can go to the second lake too.
