This is a great walk around the pond. We took our 3 dogs as well (on a lead as directed by the signs) The walk takes about 1 1/2 hours. Super plants. Lovely autumn colours. The walled garden isnt open to the public. We will visit again to see the garden in the winter, the spring and the summer.

We visited on the 9th September........ and we were the only people there The walled garden in parts had gone to seed and very few plants in flower. We had a pleasant enough walk around the pond but nothing to write home about. There was nobody else around to ask any questions and we discovered why after local people told us the new owners were closing the gardens down Only wish we hadn't put our money in the box when we arrived Don't waste your time by coming here.

Very disappointed with the visit here. Pay by honesty box in the car park, no staff visible during our visit. Walled garden poorly maintained and very run down. Pond walk overgrown, very little to see. Will not be going back.

Holidaying nearby and had a lovely evening walk round the pond. If starting from Chapel Rossan, the path to the left of the fish ladder follows the southern edge of the larger pond, and then on to the smaller, more ornamental, pond. If you do the complete round, the path to the north of the pond is in woodland with some quite steep sections. Met a local on the walk round and chatted about the wildlife - otters are seen occasionally.
