Malls are prevalent throughout the Philippines. It is the local open market on steroids, for the local people. There is the usual designer, international and pop up brands throughout. Many eating places and government offices there as well. It is well air-conditioned, which is good, because it is always crowded with shopper, friends socializing, etc. Many of the fast food places do not have enough places for people to sit to enjoy the meal without people standing by your table waiting for you to finish. Don't plan on have doing fast food during any of the meal times. Customer service lacks in many of the establishments in the Philippines. Sales people will follow you around, like a hawk, waiting for you to pick something up to examine. If you ask them a question about the item, i.e. size, color, etc., they are unable to help you. Their usual comment is that's all we have. No more in stock, even if they don't check. If you do buy something, there is no eye contact with the cashiers and no thank you from the person bagging your item. The Filipino people are, for the most part, warm and welcoming people. It's a shame that the stores don't promote this feeling to their employees to have them make the customers feel welcomed and appreciated.

I always stay at GoHotels every time I visit Butuan City for the simple reason that it has direct access to Robinsons Place, where I can find almost everything I need ... a department store, restaurants, cafés, shops, cinemas, drug stores, hair abd nail salons, a bank, etc. This mall is located just a few minutes away from the airport and bus and van terminal, and is very accessible to both public and private transportation. It has three floors and is fully air-conditioned. So far this is the best shopping mall in the city, not until SM City Butuan opens in a few months' time. :D

Having this mall built in 2014 was a great thing for residents locally. While on vacation there for 17 days, we frequented several times. Mainly for groceries and household items. This place is ten times better in every aspect when compared to gaisano, especially the checkout process. Shopping in the new Robinson's mall in Butuan City on e evening for things for the home and ran into dinner time so we decided to buy the meal for the group. Greenwich is a popular chain that serves pizza, chicken and spaghetti to name a few. Service was well and timeliness to get the food, enough for 14 people, was quick compared to others. The food is fast food and is acceptable, added bonus was we spent about $45 to feed everyone, six children and 8 adults. Recommend to try if you have not and compare to KFC or Popeyes stateside. :) Thanks for reading and if it helps give a thumbs up!

I guess I have to start with depending on WHERE you come from...if you have never been to any mall in the Philippines, than Robinson's, now with the newly added part, is fairly nice, with the open layout. Well COMPARED to Gaisano in Butuan, its a like a 5 star hotel, where Gaisano gets 0 stars. But, if you have been to other malls, like the new SM in CDO, or any SM mall, or Ayala mall, this Robinsons mall is just boring, IF you have visited it more than 3 times! ALL the restaurants ore overpriced, the food is mediocre to bad, and service is as usual, just slow, depending on the server...you just might get lucky! Way to many shoe stores and NOT too many specialty stores. This province mall is overpriced, the selection is pretty slim and prices are high. SM Malls have a better selection are a bit cheaper and have better Quality, but hey there is only ONE mall in Butuan, so its a TAKE it or LEAVE it in Butuan. The Supermarket, Handyman are pretty much the only ones I visit. NO starbucks, NO Crispy Cream? And the coffee in BO's is not good, service is, well lets say its a Butuan Standard, which has NO standard at all. (Like I said, depending on WHERE YOU are from.) 5-6 years ago, when the opened there were NO SITTING areas anywhere! Only now there are these round objects you can sort of sit on, but not for long, since you are supposed to spend money and not REST! Almost forgot, National Bookstore is a good addition, but way too small, which here in the province, the rents are pretty much the same as in the BIG Cities, but the buying power thru out the year, except on holidays is somewhat limited. Like I said, NO CHOICE...until Dec.2019, when SM in Butuan will open, or somewhere around that time. Ups, almost forgot, TOM's world is OK, but way too many kids on the weekend, so you might want to go during the week. The BEST feature about this mall, compared to Gaisano: Many more CLEAN Bathrooms!

Robinsons Place Butuan is THE mall when you are Agusan de Norte. I thought it was unusually crowded when I visited. The mall has a wide range of stall options although some are still close. They could still improve their food court. Overall, I thought it was a nice walk from the nearby Go Hotel to this mall.

Butuan City is improving, it is nice to see a lot of new landmarks and places to hang-out. That includes the Robinson Mall in Libertad, where the city extends. You can find coffee shops along the way and lots of fastfood place like McDonalds and Jollibee popping out. I call the place the uptown, because it is where cleaner and have better roads on it.

Love this mall. Modern and compact with a good variety of shopping and food eateries plus a multi screen cinema.
Not too big and more personal on three floors. Ideal for getting out of the heat and chilling over a coffee.

Has Robinsons Supermarket and Department store. Up to date cinema. Several restaurants and shops.

So much better than Gaisano Mall. This is the only mall to go to in Butuan, dont waste ur time wd the other so-called malls.

Great place to shop, buy groceries, change money, buy local goods and get a taste of local culture. Usually there is always some type of exhibit or event ongoing. 4 nice modern movie theaters too.
