Malls are prevalent throughout the Philippines. It is the local open market on steroids, for the local people. There is the usual designer, international and pop up brands throughout. Many eating places and government offices there as well. It is well air-conditioned, which is good, because it is always crowded with shopper, friends socializing, etc. Many of the fast food places do not have enough places for people to sit to enjoy the meal without people standing by your table waiting for you to finish. Don't plan on have doing fast food during any of the meal times. Customer service lacks in many of the establishments in the Philippines. Sales people will follow you around, like a hawk, waiting for you to pick something up to examine. If you ask them a question about the item, i.e. size, color, etc., they are unable to help you. Their usual comment is that's all we have. No more in stock, even if they don't check. If you do buy something, there is no eye contact with the cashiers and no thank you from the person bagging your item. The Filipino people are, for the most part, warm and welcoming people. It's a shame that the stores don't promote this feeling to their employees to have them make the customers feel welcomed and appreciated.

I always stay at GoHotels every time I visit Butuan City for the simple reason that it has direct access to Robinsons Place, where I can find almost everything I need ... a department store, restaurants, cafés, shops, cinemas, drug stores, hair abd nail salons, a bank, etc. This mall is located just a few minutes away from the airport and bus and van terminal, and is very accessible to both public and private transportation. It has three floors and is fully air-conditioned. So far this is the best shopping mall in the city, not until SM City Butuan opens in a few months' time. :D

This supermarket is creedy. On a weekend, when the market is full, they only open 4 of 12 counters. The cassiers are so slowly, I always think they will fall in sleep. And the stupid system! The prices they offer in front of the items are not always true. And many items have no prices. When you walk through the market, everywhere are workers talking with each other or looking to customers as if they never saw a customer before. Only sometimes I see them work. And who pay their salary for this foolness? The customer, cause the prices at Robinson's supermarket are high.

Have been going to this mall for over 4 years now, why are some of the esculators always not working? This is a big inconvenience for the elderly and handicapped people. Are you saving on electricity?? Also the ac was not working correctly for over 4 months.. I notice that it finally seems to be working now. So all in all a nice place to go except for these inconveniences. Better shape up, SM is moving in....

The mall has several restaurants ranging in prices, reasonable to expensive. No big choice for hamburger except Jolibee which is a Filipino favorite. Couple of coffee shops, Fulcrum and Bo's coffee. Dimsun is very reasonable and good food. Gerrys restaurant which is medium range and large menu. I have tried them all. The mall has many stores and 6 movie theaters. Good air conditioning and free WiFi.

I guess I have to start with depending on WHERE you come from...if you have never been to any mall in the Philippines, than Robinson's, now with the newly added part, is fairly nice, with the open layout. Well COMPARED to Gaisano in Butuan, its a like a 5 star hotel, where Gaisano gets 0 stars. But, if you have been to other malls, like the new SM in CDO, or any SM mall, or Ayala mall, this Robinsons mall is just boring, IF you have visited it more than 3 times! ALL the restaurants ore overpriced, the food is mediocre to bad, and service is as usual, just slow, depending on the server...you just might get lucky! Way to many shoe stores and NOT too many specialty stores. This province mall is overpriced, the selection is pretty slim and prices are high. SM Malls have a better selection are a bit cheaper and have better Quality, but hey there is only ONE mall in Butuan, so its a TAKE it or LEAVE it in Butuan. The Supermarket, Handyman are pretty much the only ones I visit. NO starbucks, NO Crispy Cream? And the coffee in BO's is not good, service is, well lets say its a Butuan Standard, which has NO standard at all. (Like I said, depending on WHERE YOU are from.) 5-6 years ago, when the opened there were NO SITTING areas anywhere! Only now there are these round objects you can sort of sit on, but not for long, since you are supposed to spend money and not REST! Almost forgot, National Bookstore is a good addition, but way too small, which here in the province, the rents are pretty much the same as in the BIG Cities, but the buying power thru out the year, except on holidays is somewhat limited. Like I said, NO CHOICE...until Dec.2019, when SM in Butuan will open, or somewhere around that time. Ups, almost forgot, TOM's world is OK, but way too many kids on the weekend, so you might want to go during the week. The BEST feature about this mall, compared to Gaisano: Many more CLEAN Bathrooms!

Robinsons Place Butuan is THE mall when you are Agusan de Norte. I thought it was unusually crowded when I visited. The mall has a wide range of stall options although some are still close. They could still improve their food court. Overall, I thought it was a nice walk from the nearby Go Hotel to this mall.
