Our guide, Bazil, made this two hour rafting session the highlight of our visit to the area. He was very amusing throughout and calmed little Katie, the 8yo, when she was a little scared (petrified!). We all enjoyed the opportunity to get out of the boat and swim in the Aude. We also stopped on the bank for dessert, blackberries! All in all, a simply fantastic afternoon - thanks to all the staff, but particularly to Bazil.

This was the best thing I've done in a long time. Be prepared to have lots of laughs and get very wet. Silvan was our guide and he was brilliant, he spoke great English, had lots of knowledge, you always felt safe with him and he really made this excursion worth every penny. He also had a water proof camera and took lots of great pictures of us along the way. We were issued full wetsuits which kept us very warm throughout the trip. If you don't like being thrown out of a raft then this might not be the excursion for you, but for us it was the highlight of a small holiday in the south of France.

Water, crystal clear and cold. Guides very professional. English spoken if required. For a safe way to have the thrills of white water rafting, could not be better

Booked 2 activities with Pyrene and we weren't disappointed. Via Ferrata was excellent - ended up just being our group of 6 with the excellent Nicolas as our guide.
The half day rafting was great as well including capsizing, floating down the river and jumping off a rock into the river was great fun. Our guides English and our French language skills were just about enough to understand everything though a few things got lost in translation.
Very professional outfit and took safety very seriously. Would thoroughly recommend. Only downside is that apart from the deposit you have to pay in cash

We were a group of 4 friends, sharing a boat in the Integral rafting package. The river and the nature is beautiful, the guide JB is a great guide that you can laugh and feel safe with.
Last part was the roughest and the most fun, we got good instructions and the experience was super fun while you experience beautiful nature!
Strongly recommending this place and guide!

Mum, Dad, and our 12 year old son loved the family rafting here, the instructor was fun and spoke great English. He ensured we had fun, encouraging us to jump from some rocks into the river, and guiding is down the rapids with skill. We loved it! Both adults ended up in the river, but were quickly hoisted back into the boat...we were shown how to do this at the start. Do it, you will love it! Having looked at repeating the experience back in the UK, we now realise what good value the rafting is in France!

What Can I say? Great fun, great staff, great location. Was exciting enough without being too scary. Although I would say there was a young girl, who had a bad first rapid and lost her confidence. So if your kids are going- go with them. You can't bail out halfway down.😁
Staff was super experienced and did his best under circumstances.
Thanks so much- we will be back!!!👍✔️

We booked with Pyrene rafting after reading good reviews on here and due to the clarity of their website. We were not disappointed! Upon arrival we parked easily and made our way to the camp site where Pyrene rafting is located. The staff were friendly and helpful and we were able to use the excellent facilities in order to get changed and have a drink whilst we waited. Our guide arrived once we had survived the trauma of having to fit into the clean, well looked after wetsuits / equipment provided. Our guide- Max- was brilliant. He was really friendly and looked after our slightly apprehensive 11 year old daughter perfectly - putting her at ease and seating her with him. Max did such a good job of reassuring our daughter that by the end she was back with us and acting like an expert ! We booked course 1 -the 'beginner's / family ' course and it was incredible. The scenery truly is breathtaking and our 14 year old son was able to jump from the rocks in and amongst us all floating down the river out of the raft, playing several games and learning the ropes. This has been the best day of our holiday and we cannot recommend Pyrene rafting enough.

Popped in on chance when our booking elsewhere was cancelled. Staff really helpful, spoke good English. We had a drink/ice cream by pool and kids had a swim while waiting. Paul - the instructor - was really helpful, again good English and was great with kids. The canoe rapids trip was really good fun - not too scary, even in a thunderstorm. I fell out once and Paul prioritised my daughter who was left in boat. Even stopped for some canyoning. Given the very reasonable cost and the experience comes highly recommended. Will use again next time we visit.

We wanted to go rafting on the Aude. It was very hot when we were in France. We found Pyrene Rafting because their website gave clear descriptions of what they offered and was in English which was helpful. We were a little nervous about signing up with our 12 year olds, but the guide John Baptiste is perhaps the best rafting guide ever. He gave such great instruction and made our trip down the Aude one of the best experiences of our vacation. They suit you up with wetsuits, life jackets, helmets and take photos all along the trip. JB was so great at giving us the "right" kind of fun and instruction along the way. Our girls jumped from rocks, floated downstream and howled with delight as we tackled the class 4 rapids, not to mention the scenery is breathtakingly beautiful!!
This is a must do if you are in the area and JB & Pyrene Rafting are the best!!
