This was one of the most amazing things I've ever done on vacation. I corresponded with Elisa via email since I'm not native to Norway and she was incredibly helpful with answering my many questions. The crew was fantastic and helpful and the dogs were friendly and playful. After the sledding was done they served us all warm beverages, a hearty dinner, and dessert. I couldn't recommend this activity enough.

After our pick-up at the hotel we drove to the kennel at Beito and got to know our guide for this week expedition. His name is Lucas, he is french but a world traveler and adventurer. We left the kennel for a 5 day husky expedition in the wonderfull mountains of the Jotunheimen region. Lucas loves the dogs and like to share his knowledge with his guests. Each night we stopped at a local wildernisscabin for the night. After taking care of the dogs we lit the fire and installed us for the night. Three times a day Lucas prepared a wonderfull breakfast or lunch or diner ! He is a true wilderness Chef ! The final night we slept in a tent in the middle of the park. Temperatures dropped to -20C but the cosyness and candle light made it all up to a very warm night. Thank you Lucas an d the rest of the Beito Husky team.

Well spent day Worth every Norwegian krona, it was just splendid!!!! The dogs first and foremost were phenomenal, they are simply the best, the dogs were all cuteeeeee, friendly, enthusiastic, strong, happy and hardworking....., I must add they very very professional. It was a splendid day being a musher The staff were awesome too, the lead staff (I’m embarrass to say I remember all 5 of the dogs on my sled and forgot the name of the lead guide/staff) however he is from Belgium and he was awesome, he was thorough in teaching us how to treat and relate to the dog and all the safety tips in mushing. At first I was terrified but after the first 5-10 minutes I wanted to be a musher for an eternity We took the bus from Oslo bus terminal and it took us straight to Beito husky tours, I would say about 3.5hours, we did the tour, had a meal which was included, then we were taken by the group to get the bus back to Oslo. Long day but a phenomenal day It’s an experience you should not miss in Norway

We drove up from Oslo to Beito Husky Tour. It was about 4 hours and the scenery on the way up was amazing. All of the lakes has frozen and snow had settled. The roads were clear despite the heavy snow fall. When we arrived, the snow had started to fall heavily and the landscape was covered; however, one of the staff, Lou, invited us in and got us nice and warm whilst she was tending to the dogs. She helped makes sure our kit was right for the journey due to the heavy snow and wind, and she gave us better overalls and boots. When we arrived at the kennels, Lou encouraged us to go and meet the dogs. We spent a good hour meeting every single dog. They were so lovely and each one had their own personality. Lou went through and allowed us to rope our dogs. She was incredibly helpful, but also hands off so we all got the experience of handling the dogs. She made sure everyone understood how to handle the sledges and made suggestions for which sledge would suit each person. We took a tandem sledge with 5 dogs. The journey was exhilarating. A blizzard had started to set in so the landscape was a white out with deep, fresh snow. We helped the dogs push, but had many moments to sit and take it all in whilst the dogs pulled. It was just phenomenal, just see the pictures attached. At the end, we wanted to help Lou as the snow was setting in even worse now. She let us lead the dogs back to the kennels and even allowed us to feed the dogs. She took us back up for some biscuits and a hot beverage. Lou had the patience of a saint. Our group had a family with 3 children and she was fantastic. She made sure everyone had the best experience. As we were leaving, the snow had fallen so much we couldn’t get out. We tried to push our fiesta out but it wasn’t budging and the rental company wouldn’t supply chains. Lou came out, got in the car and worked her magic and stormed that car out and onto the main road. She went above and beyond and anyone would be lucky to share the experience we had today. Thank you to the team at Beito Husky Tours: you’ve got an incredible place with the most beautiful dogs. Thanks for making first trip to Norway so special. Ps. Thanks for getting back on the road, we eventually made it back to Oslo. Dan and Chris

Amazing trip, truly enjoyed the experience. Would probably stay over in beitostolen at the Radisson Blu Mountain Hotel when travelling from Oslo as the 4hr bus journey each way is a long day. Spend time in the area as it looked beautiful in the snow.
