- iluvbeachesBaltimore, Maryland419 contributionsPretty BeachI went to Arashi beach twice in one week. Both times the water was clear and snorkeling was pretty good. Rented chairs and umbrellas and had mahi-mahi for lunch. The second time the wind had picked up so the water had some waves but still clear. Beautiful scenery with the lighthouse in the background.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 17, 2024
- Twinsmom99Dyer, Indiana680 contributionsI would give it a 5 but…Beautiful beach. We used the seabobs which was a great experience. After the seabobs, we wanted to spend some time on the beach. They ran out of chairs so we sat in the sand - just a little disappointing that they didn’t have enough. Otherwise beautiful.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 27, 2024
- Boston0617133 contributionsSpend more time at Arachi !We spent a day here, wished we spent a couple of more days or nights in this area. The water was clear as can be, I could see my toes when I was in 5 feet of water. Waves were awesome the day we were there. Beaches in hotel zone are great but the water can be murky some weeks. The water here was stunning. 2.70 US to take public bus from Palm Beach hotel zone. 15 minute ride. Bus drops you off right at beach. Looked like plenty of parking the weekday we were there.Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 2, 2024
- Peter W11 contributionsArashi Beach ArubaDue to the strong winds coming off of South America it was almost impossible to get into the surf. There were 8 to 10 foot waves breaking off shore. This is our favorite beach on Aruba. The surf may have been high, but that didn't stop us from setting up our chairs and enjoying the beach. We tend to go here everytime we are in Aruba, just loving it. The sunsets were fantastic.Visited February 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 4, 2024

Restaurand and bar, chair and umbrella rental and outdor shower on premesis. - Sara GHouston, Texas67 contributionsAmazing and beautifulWe went to Eagle, Palm and Baby Beach and I consider Arashi to be the best one. The water color is much prettier than Eagle and Palm Beach. It isn't as crowded. There are free palapas and the lounge chair rental is $10 each. If you want two loungers and an umbrella it is $40, if you want four loungers and a large umbrella the price is $90. pretty pricey but worth it. There are no hotels nearby so the beach is nice and quiet. The only food and drinks available for purchase is the Arashi Beach Snack Shack and they have radio music playing but you can only hear it at the restaurant. The prices for food and drink are reasonable. The food and drinks were very good. We went twice to this beach and chose it as a repeat over Eagle and Palm Beach. There are showers and restrooms at the Snack Shack that you can use. This is a plus because at Baby Beach there is no shower to rinse off.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten May 28, 2024
- Moose_the_explorerLondon, Canada174 contributionsGreat beach, super windyReally nice beach, although a bit rocky and got deep quickly for the kids. Snorkelling is pretty nice but the crazy winds mean it's a bit wavier. Hold onto your hats! We lost one that flew right off into the wind. The beach shack here is good for a snack or drinks, and views are beautiful. We ventured up to the lighthouse after this as it's quite close, so make a day of it. Try to get here earlier in order to get shade, however, as it is incredibly hot without shade.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten September 13, 2024

Aruba may claim to be one happy island, but Arashi is one unhappy beach. My family of five was on a cruise and we wanted to stay at Arashi beach during our port stop. Our driver told us to get beach chairs for $10 each and attendants would give you a bottle of water and WiFi access. I only rented 2 chairs for my wife and I because my 3 boys wanted to swim and snorkel. I suspect because we were a family of five and only rented two chairs may be the reason for our issues yet to come. The first sign of trouble, no water and the chair attendants said too many people were already on the Wi-Fi. Not a big deal, i wasn’t really convinced they had Wi-Fi and I really didn’t care. But, the chair attendant debacle continue on when one of my kids sat on my lounge chair with me to take a swimming break. The chair attendant said only one person per chair. Very strange, so I questioned him as to why. He said that’s the rules and the chair could break. I told him that’s a dumb rule and he said he didn’t make the rules, the chair boss does. So my son got up and went back in the water. But the drama continued with the chair boss coming over and telling me one person per chair. Again, I said it’s a dumb rule and he proceeds to go back to the where all the chairs are stored, about 30 feet away, and drags a broken chair back to where we we’re sitting. He informs me this is what can happen when 2 people sit in a lounge chair and continued to be a total jerk. At that point, I just paused and reminded myself, I’m on vacation and ignored his rant about his broken beach chairs. The aggravation of Arashi Beach continued on as my boys wanted to shower off the salt water from swimming at the Arashi Beach Shack. It cost $1 to shower off. And the final straw was you had to pay $1 to use the restroom. The beach shack is the only facility at Arashi, so you are kinda stuck. So at this point I had enough of Arashi Beach, it was becoming clear, it’s a tourist trap. We left and caught a ride to Eagle Beach and had a wonderful experience. There was a place you could get drinks and something to eat at place called Coco Locos AND you could shower off and use their restroom for free! While both of these beaches are beautiful, I hope this review helps in choosing between the two.

We visited many of the beaches around the island but this one ended up being our favorite. A little bit more crowded than the rest, but still plenty of room. We were able to get beach chairs and an umbrella, and there is a small restaurant and bar that serves great food. Plenty of good snorkeling to either side, and a wonderful swimming area too.

We think this is the best beach in Aruba! First day visibility low for snorkeling, but went right outside ropes and were able to see better. Went back two days later and visibility was perfect all around to see a variety of tropical fish. Plenty of pelicans to see too. Water isn’t rough and it isn’t too rocky either. Restaurant on beach is great, but took one hour both days for lunch so be prepared to wait. Bathrooms at restaurant seem to be free, we weren’t charged but we also ordered food. Plenty of parking plus umbrella and chairs rentals. Great view of lighthouse too!

Gorgeous beach. Best beach on the island.
Vendors to setup chairs and umbrellas - Got there around 9:45 am and was plenty of space. By noon the beach was pretty full.
Beach shack with very decently priced food (got tuna sandwiches for $5 each that were quite tasty)
$45 for all day chairs and umbrellas from rental place (two guys)

The beach is beautiful, but when we went the waves were crazy big, so I can’t speak to the snorkeling. However, it’s just a gorgeous beach. Get there early and you’ll have it to yourself for a while. When you get to the beach there are two sets of guys setting up chairs. One of these things is not like the other. The guys setting up chairs right by the restaurant include use of their facilities and WiFi. The other guys don’t have this. We got there early enough to get a great cabana but by the time we left the beach was PACKED!

We loved Arashi Beach! Bring your own umbrella if you can because you'll pay $20 to rent one if you don't have one. Even so, Arashi Beach is so beautiful and worth a visit! There's a snack bar and bathroom, as well. The snorkeling is excellent. A great place to camp out for several hours (or the whole day!)

The beach itself is FANTASTIC! It's the beach attendants who are TERRIBLE! From the start they were rude and disrespectful. Then they sold one of the umbrellas out from under us. Our group of 7 paid for 2 separate beach umbrellas (one large, one smaller) and 4 beach chairs. Around lunchtime when a few in our group left, we decided to consolidate under the larger umbrella. The two attendants came and told us we'd need to either stay in the smaller one or pay more to stay in the larger one. When we told them we were all together in the same party, they called me a liar. Beware of who you give your money to on this beach, they are swindlers who look official. Stay away from this guy in particular. It's a shame he represents Aruba to the world.

We came by this beach twice - once on a snorkel boat and once as part of an island tour. Looks less crowded than Baby Beach. Like most of the beaches in Aruba no tree shade at all so will need to rent umbrellas. Snorkeling is excellent here whether swimming from shore or boat. A bit of current but not too strong. In some areas the coral reef only a couple of feet deep so need to be careful. But the coral area is quite extensive so you won't get snorkelers all bunched up close to shore like at Baby Beach.

We visited during our cruise and got here from the cruise port via the local bus service $5 each return ticket. We heard someone say they payed $40 for loungers and umbrellas. By the time we arrived umbrellas had sold out because it is such a lovely small beach, so we just lay on towels under a palm tree for shade. WiFi at the beach bar. Drinks were good. Snorkelling was really good here, not overcrowded at all.

The waves here are really strong! there is an area where it is very rocky and one little part that had seaweed but we avoided that area. There is an area closer to the food hut where the waves were less strong and there were no rocks.
Be sure to have some cash with you if you need to use the shower to wash off sand because it does cost $1 to use and there is a woman there collecting the money or she will not let you use it.
I really liked the beach. There is a bit of a dip when stepping down from the sand into the water.
There are vendors there from whom you can get beach chairs. Not sure of the cost as we did not.
What I like is that you can drive right up to the beach and be steps away from the sand. If you want to get a palapa you definitely have to arrive early.

We did not rent chairs - our airbnb had beach chairs - and we have a great travel beach umbrella. I highly recommend that if you do a lot of beach vacations. Portabrella :) No paying for umbrellas or having to get to the beach at the crack of dawn to try and get a palapa.

I did not see any dogs and I didn't see any signs saying no dogs, however, it is a turtle breeding area which is protected so I would suggest you do not take your dog there.

Is there parking? And what kind of facilities are available? We are traveling with kids that tend to use them lots. Also how much to rent an umbrella and chairs? Thank you!
Written December 14, 2018
Yes, ample parking. They have food, bar & bathrooms. You can rent various snorkel & beach items on the beach!

Any lockers in Aruba.. need storage for our belonging so we don't have to swim or snorkel alone..while other stays to watch our things.

Look into a 'vacation vault'. Its a small plastic safe you can secure to your car bumper or a palapa beam, to fit your car keys and phone, leave everything else locked in the car. We dont worry much at arashi beach, but like to pull off the road in less populous locations too. Be friendly to the guys renting umbrellas and chairs at arashi, offer a cold coke or balashi and they will keep an eye out as well

How easy is it to get a taxi back from the beach?
Written May 26, 2018
Very easy, just walk out of the cruise terminal and there are plenty of taxis to choose from. When you get to the beach they will ask you what time you want to return and take your photo graph. this enables them to recognise you, in case its a differant driver. Or there is the public bus, that i believe runs every 30 minutes.

In tutta l'isola.

We will be visiting Aruba next February. We want to take the Aruba to Arashi Beach to do some snorkeling. Our only concern is the safety of our item while we are in the water. Are there any facilities with lockers available? I hear there is a snack bar there. What type of food items/drinks are available? TIA 😊
Written May 7, 2017
I didn't try any food but I can tell you that they charged me $5.00 US to just sit and wait for my fellow passengers to get back to the bus. I don't swim and have a hard time walking so I thought it would be best for me to stay at the bar/restaurant. I was pretty stunned when asked to "pay" to sit. The beach did look beautiful.

Does anyone the time it will take to get too Baby Beach, and if there is direct transportation ?
Written April 23, 2017
Baby Beach would likely be too far; may want to try Eagle Beach as an alternative.
Written April 24, 2017
On a cruise so one day in Aruba we r beach people what is the best plan for the day. We would like some food and drink options and white sand and not super crowded.
Written January 15, 2017
Hi! It depends on what you like to do in a beach. If you want just to hang out I would go to the Eagle Beach. However if you are more on adventure side the best bet is Boca Catalina or Baby Beach. The best thing about Baby Beach is that you can rent everything you could need for a snorkeling and it's less populated. Ether one is a lot of fun.
