The humble genesis of the future president is represented by a house which has been rebuilt in the original area, which is actually quite interesting to visit. It is about half an hour's drive from Vinh city. You will really need a guide who speaks your language to get the most out of the visit. The best part is to... More

Ho Chi Minh is the father of nation. Our visit to his hometown was emotional as we witnessed the old house where he grew up during this childhood

Nothing special, it's interesting to see the Vietnamese people come in droves to honor that special person. Go there if you by any chance in Vinh city.

This place is the house of President Ho. If you can go with a tour guide, then it'll be much easier and more interesting for you, as you need someone who has good knowledge about this place to introduce, explain and provide all the information for you. Although it was a hot day when we visitted that place, however there... More

This is a reconstruction of his childhood house. It was not overly interesting if Ho Chi Min is not one of your heroes but it attracts lots of devotees to him so is good for people watching

One must be most respectful and our guide had an offering of chrysanthemums for the family altar. You enter 2 by 2 - not sure exactly why! The buildings have been restored but if you visit the museum at his fathers home there are pictures of the originals.

This is listed as the #1 out of 1 attractions in Vinh. Who could resist such a recommendation... This place will only be of interest to those with a deep interest in and love for Viet Nam (the same could be said for the city of Vinh in general). As I am one of those people I was very glad... More

The greatest and most beloved man in Vietnam. Information given HCM stay here until he was 5 years old. Still a lot more fun fact for you to explore here. Enjoy your trip!

President Ho Chi Min was born in Vinh or at least very close by. He is a real legend and very highly regarded (loved) by all Vietnamese people so be mindful of respecting him in Vietnam....or you could be in big trouble, the Vietnamese take respect for "Uncle Ho" very seriously. The is a huge statue in a park in... More

I went there with Vietnamese coworkers several years ago. It was very interesting to see how touched were my coworkers by seeing their national hero and "father" native home. However I could not help me thinking the home was totaly rebuilt. It smelt a little bit "fake" to me.
