We took a two hour ride through the Pisgah National Forest, the views were amazing, the trail was just difficult enough that it was interesting. The guide was awesome as were the horses. I am an experienced rider but my husband isn’t. Both of us were very happy with length of the ride and the cost. Will definitely go again!

We had a wonderful ride! It’s a beautiful ride up in the mountains. We did the 2 hour ride and it was great. The horses seem to be well taken care of and friendly.

The road back to the trail is unpaved and bumpy, give yourself extra time to get there. You are dealing with large animals on a mountain side, there are rules to be followed to keep everyone (people and animals) safe. This is a trail ride where the horses follow behind one another. If you have questions or concerns, I would advise to reach out to the company before booking. They were very helpful with our questions when booking.

Do not let the road stop you from driving up to the trail. Drive slow and take your time cause the trail ride is worth it. Michael and Juanita made the ride fun, beautiful scenery and well behaved horses.

Came back a half hour early on a 2 hr trail ride due to thunderstorms. Did not issue any refund whatsoever and scared the children telling them he had a horse die from a lightening strike. Not very friendly.

My husband and I, both experienced riders, wanted more than a nose-to-tail trail ride to see some Pisgah Forest backcountry. Michael's horses were top notch - well groomed, nicely cared-for, and good responsive trail horses. The May scenery was spectacular and the trails were off-the-beaten track and provided great views of the rivers and surrounding area. Highly recommend!

Totally disagree with another reviewer. Went today - 16 horses in a straight line nose to tail. Paid for 2 hour trip. Horses arrived at 11:20 - left at 11:35 - back in car just before 1 pm - do you do the math... Worst part was one guide in front and one in middle - fine. However 4 horses back from middle guide was another guide. I was right behind him - then my 2 kids and lastly my husband. My horse basically had his nose touching the guides horse at all times and the guide spent OVER 30% of the the time turned in his saddle staring at us. After the first 5 minutes I asked him what was wrong and he said he was checking for lose stirrups or steam coming from under the saddle blankets. Fine - do it once in a while or even better - get to the end of the line. I spent the hour and a half having a guy 7 feet in front of me staring back. It was creepy. Long slow boring ride in a straight line. Definitely not worth the money.

Organized operation. Easy reservation. Everything on time & well coordinated. I am subtracting two stars because “the rules” suck enjoyment out of the experience. You can never pass another horse. You cannot get close to another horse. You cannot lag behind. You cannot pass a phone to your friend. There are no stops. No photo ops. No attention from the guide, except to bark orders. Oh, there was some incessant babbling. What I caught was not about nature or regional history. She was advising a 13-year-old girl about her weight.

The lady was very rude to my family. She kept saying she wouldn’t give us a refund even though I didn’t ask for one. I told her on the phone while making a reservation that my children were under age 7 and she didn’t say anything about it. Yet, when we arrived, they gave us their rules saying children under 7 cannot go. They ended up taking my children but the lady looked so annoyed with my 2 year old who cried for less than a minute. We tried other places in the past that were much more welcoming and family friendly. Avoid!

Horrible customer service. We tried driving down the road to get to the meeting area, but the road is far too craggy. Potholes, rocks and dropoffs made it unreachable for our vehicle. I called to try and cancel, but was told, "too bad, we're charging your card anyways". So we got charged $129 for no ride, and a terrible experience for my wife and I trying to celebrate our anniversary. I DO NOT recommend this company. Take your time and money to another more accessible trail.
