We happened upon this place because the campgrounds were ful. Reasonably priced, comfortable / spacious rooms, and friendly staff. One caveat though, dont stay here unless you are a dog lover. The dog barking and pack howling didnt bother me, on the contrary I found it comforting. The owner also helped me get my rather heavy canoe down to the... More

Despite the rain and cool weather, my tour group from Ontario very much enjoyed our visit with Homer and the huskies. Several of the dogs accompanied us on a walk to the river, and another group joined us under a shelter during a fascinating talk about the Yukon Quest dogsled race. We also had dinner there, an excellent buffet. Summer... More

Great lunch, informative talk and great fun playing with the dogs. One of the highlights of our trip to Canada-Alaska.

My school group of 54 students - gr. 6/7's - and 9 chaperoning teachers and adults stayed at Muktuk Adventures for 4 nights. Manuela, Jeff, Pascal and staff went far out of their way in making my school group's experience one to remember for a lifetime. The facility and food were outstanding. Large, healthy meals. Something for everyone. We asked... More

Very easy to find ... past turnoff to Dawson/Takhini ... signs on Alaska Hwy. I have heard that using GPS co-ordinates can lead to some grief! When you turn off the Hwy ... it's about 4 kms down a dirt road. The road is pretty good and ok for most cars/trucks/rv's ... although the day we went there was a... More

We stayed at Muktuk for 1 week end of March and I can say it was an awesome experience! If you love dogs you must love this place. We enjoyed the dog sledding, time at the ranch, meeting other guests as well as taking to the Muktuk Team. I can definitely recommend this place

My husband and 16 year old daughter went on a half day dog sled adventure at Muktuk Adventures. They absolutely loved it and would recommend it to other travelers as well.

This was the most wonderful adventure a person could have! And if you truly want to experience Canada - this is what you should do! The day was amazing with a relaxing dogsled trip out to our lunch spot where we cooked hamburgers and hotdogs over an open fire by the frozen river and spent some quality time with our... More

Muktuk is VERY correct about declaring itself as "a place for people who love dogs!" Wonderful dogs who obviously love their life there and are cared for by wonderful staff. But it is also a place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Yukon winter -- snowy forest trails and smooth running on frozen rivers while surrounded by snowy... More
