Another fabulous tour from Ross River to Pelly Crossing.
Highlight along the river was taking turns in spotting wildlife like: pikes, salmon, blackbear, eagle, wolf, porcupine, moose…
Our tour guide Rainer's skilful leadership was proved once again in the drive, knowledge and friendliness with which he approached the tasks in hand and his tour members.
During our tour through the wildernis we were provided with a varied range of foods, to the delight of the group, clearly a standard typical of Adventure Tours. Excellent equipment and punctual transfers round up the service. Rainer's sensitive awareness for the needs of the group supported a convivial atmosphere and team spirit.
On the backdrop of the unparalleled beauty of the Yukon Territory this trip served to bring out good vibes in everyone.
Thank you Rainer.

Hi Kitty, thanks for your review. It was a great trip with changing weather conditions but an excellent spirit of the group. You never got tired of helping out wherever a hand was needed . You are always a great company on every wilderness trip. Sure hope we will be paddling together again

Thank you for the perfekt organisation. The transport Whitehorse to Mayo and return was very entertaining. Rainer gave us helpful tips for our trip. The bookung of the fly in and fly out worked very well.
The nature, mountains and the clear water was fantastic. Mountain hiking is highly recommended due to the great view. We saw moose, caribou, dall sheep, wolf and a black bear during our trip.
Fly-fishing was excellent for artic greyling. Rainer is very profesional and you can trust him. He has a lot of expierience on many rivers in the Yukon area.

Thank you for the perfect organization. The advice before, the transfer from and back to Whitehorse and the good equipment - everything was perfect. We had a completely successful canoe tour with a lot of fun and some wildlife watching.

We did this 10 day trip in the summer of 2017. It was simply incredible. There were 8 of us in total. Rainer organized every aspect of this trip and there was no detail overlooked - he is very thorough and professional. Our guide, Brian, was amazing - complete with lots of canoe technique instructions including how to right a canoe - to wonderful dinners and poetry readings from Robert Service. We became very adept at setting up camp, gathering firewood, cooking and then packing it all up in the morning to get on the river again. Fun Stuff!! It was a trip of a lifetime for all of us and we all left feeling totally special for having spent this time together in such a wonderful part of this great country. There is nothing more Canadian I can think of than an canoe trip and camping in the Yukon. I felt a little bit like "City Slickers" going into the Yukon Wild. However, Rainer is very detail oriented, professional and you can trust him. We are forever thankful to Rainer and I highly recommend this trip!!!!

We did the tour from the end of Lake Laberge to Carmacks in summer 2018.
Rainer organized a motor boat transport over Lake Laberge were we start our tour.
Rainer perfectly equipped us with everything we needed for our trip. Even rain trousers could be organized quickly, as we forgot ours.
We did the trip by ourselves which was not problem at all because Rainer provided us with very good maps and trip information.
After 5 days we arrived at Carmacks where we were pricked up by Rainer at the next day. We had a very pleasant ride back to Whitehorse with Rainer.
If we are back at the Yukon, another trip with Yukon Wild will definitely be on our list.

This trip fulfilled a long lived dream of mine: a twelve day paddle trip on the Big Salmon River, despite the fact that I was an utter greenhorn at canoeing.

Adventure Tours keeps their tour dates in synch with the flight schedule between Frankfurt and Whitehorse, and this avoids unwanted idleness. A cheerful welcome by our hosts sets off the well-planned itinerary.

Under the professional instructions of our tour guide Rainer, we practiced proper paddling strokes and honed our skills on the lakes, to master the river the next day. Being very organized on the river and in camp, Rainer inspired everyone to add to the overall success of the trip.

Let lose on the Big Salmon River, we paddled through a magnificent landscape where we could spot eagles, moose and beavers, and at the river bank we could discover tracks of all sorts of wildlife, not least of bears and wolves. Rainer´s routinized handling of the wild provided us with a sense of security and he trained our vision for the finer details in nature. The weather on the trip had everything on offer, from sunshine to hail stones, thunder and lightning and rain showers. Nevertheless, nothing could dampen our spirits, especially as Rainer would know when to indulge us with a culinary treat.

Similarly, he impressed with his profound knowledge of fauna and flora and we could sense the deep-seated connection he shared with the land, and which came alive in his explanations. All too soon did this fantastic tour come to an end.

Caution: this trip is addictive.
