The city of Saskatoon built a big stack of boxes calling it the new art gallery but what a waste of money. The previous location was wonderful,I will never set foot in the new reime center or whatever its called. This existing conservatory is a great place to wonder around and see what is there.Best part is the LOCATION.

The art gallery is under renovation as mentioned. We drove out to this conservatory and it is literally probably about the size of an apartment - it takes perhaps a few minutes to walk the circular loop around the perimeter. A little disappointing, some pretty flowers by most of them are ornamentals in pots. You could see more plants walking... More

How can you go wrong with a free art gallery? There's also an atrium that has some lovely tropical plants, hot & humid year round! The cafe on-site is really nice, good deserts and fine coffee, as well as simple lunches (sandwiches etc). The art changes frequently so it's a great place for locals to visit a few times per... The Art Gallery is now closed. The Conservatory and Restaurant remain open. I still love the Conservatory and the fish pond, for a quick visit, especially mid-winter. The restaurant is better than adequate for a quick lunch and coffee. The architecture is very cool, 'Mid-Mod' 1950s, but most of the facility is closed to the public, A Children's Museum is... More

This has always been the No. 1 lace for my grandkids and I to visit whenever we are together in the city! The flower gallery is stunning - and a place os calm serene peace! The kids always check out what's happening in the kid's area before we stroll thru the gallery and enjoy the many varied works of art.... More

Mendel art gallery no more a same the art collection was inpressive but it is cheaper to built a new art gallery at a hundred and 115 million than to spend 5 million$ to fix up the Mendel but if you don't mind waiting for a couple of years but the concervatory is still open to the public and is... Its a beautiful gallery with all sorts of interesting exhibits. If you are there in winter, the garden reminds you that summer is on the way.

Tonnes of plant life in a small room. It doesn't take a tonne of time to go through but its by donation to see and the plants change seasonally. Theres an art museum right beside that's also by donation and usually has some neat exhibits and activities as well as a room where kids can go and make their own... More
