Beautiful Walk
Sep 2021
Lovely, well-maintained trails along the South Saskatchewan River offering great views, especially now, with autumnal colours just about at their best. Several bridges, including the high railway bridge, have walkways to give a wide range of circular walks from about 2km to over 20km. Great to see it so well used on a weekday afternoon; schoolkids exercising, joggers, cyclists, walkers, and university classes too.

Beautiful walking and bike trails along the South Saskatchewan Rive right in the heart of Saskatoon.

Lots of newly developed areas for biking and walking in the centre of Saskatoon. Plenty of rest & picnic spots. Several parking lots along the way.

Very enjoyable walk
Sep 2020 • Friends
We started our walk along the river at the Broadway Bridge in Nutana. The total trip, on both sides of the river took about 90 minutes, and we only travelled a small portion of the trail. The path is well maintained, and good for cyclists, runners and walkers. There are many informative signs along the way. Preserving this section of land as green space was an excellent decision.

The trail from Gordie Howe bridge to Idylwyld Bridge and back across on the other side of the river is a great walk! It is a total of 12k, but is easy walking. Very scenic.

Longest bike path in Canada
Jan 2019 • Solo
Longest bike path in Canada. Nice walk along the river with plenty to see: wildlife watching, like pelicans and Canadian geese, full of monuments and historic buildings, has outdoor playground and recreational gym facilities and kayak rental, tennis courts and plenty of cafes, galleries and shops with outdoor sitting to enjoy the Meewasin masterpiece landscaping that makes it pleasant for the eye at any time of the year. An annual Saskatchewan marathon path.

After an early arrival in Saskatoon went for a long walk along both sides of the river crossed over at the railway bridge which is worth seeing. Very friendly people, very polite most say hello some want to chat! Nice trails and views of the city, homes and river. 2 1/2 hour round trip.
