There is a beautiful paved path along the river, going by the old Bessie hotel, and carries in for quite a few kilometers. This trail is on both sides of the river. Highly recommended for stress relief or a quiet nature walk or just exercise.

Fine trail along both sides of the river. Cyclists, walkers, and runners. River is just not that scenic in comparison to other places we've been. Sorry, Saskatoon.

The Meewasin Valley offers 60 km of trails, open year round, running through beautiful, sunny Saskatoon. Trails run on both side of the South Saskatchewan river, through conservation areas and beautiful parks. Stroll, run, cycle and cross country ski along the path. It offers many treks for leisure and exercise.

I live in Saskatoon and take the beauty of the river valley for granted, until I travel and see concrete condos right up to the edge of other waterways, rivers, lakes. the paths go on for miles, no traffic worries (Except the bikes) who are very good about bike etiquette on the trails. lots of kids, families, couples, seniors. several... As always the running trails are in great shape this year. Although construction around river landing/the former Victoria bridge has interrupted the trails on the west side of the river.

This park covers almost the entire length of the river in Saskatoon. A great place to walk or bike. It runs through the heart of the city and is available year round. Lots of trees, easy access pic-nic areas and not too crowded.

Thank you for your review! As you mentioned, there is so much to see and do along the Meewasin Trail. One of the highlights is getting to observe the many animals in their natural habitat throughout the Saskatoon river valley. The beavers play an important role in keeping the habitat teeming with wildlife. Beavers build dams that flood waters upstream,... More
