    Awesome History Lesson!
The artwork and antiques collection is very impressive!! The historical knowledge of the owner and guide was also impressive and interesting! Highly recommend this tour! Plan for a couple hours so you don’t have to rush out. We planned on 1.5 hours and we had to leave early for a prior engagement and missed the last portion. Don’t miss this if you’re visiting or going through Regina!

Great experience medieval castle in Regina, Sk
They make history interesting. Seeing all the history about how our ancestors lived and little interesting facts were really interesting. They explained the history of home and Regina. The antiques and stories were very informative and interesting

    Surprised and Impressed
A few days ago while we were in Regina, the capital of Saskatchewan, we toured Stone Hall Castle for about two hours. It was a fantastic experience! The owner and guide, Jason Hall, educated us on Regina’s stories history and how the Stone Hall Castle fits in. The photos we took don’t do the castle nor the art works justice but hopefully it will give you and inkling of what it’s all about. I recommend you put this place on your “must see” list!

A step back in Medieval times.
A tour filled with history and the examples of art from medieval times. The castle is filled with paintings, furniture, and age. You feel the wonder of the castle with its handcrafted wax candles dropping down the candelabras.

    Amazing
The tour was absolutely amazing, the tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, the castle was beautiful and so well put together. We went at night and it was so wonderful to see it lit by candles. We will be making another trip for a day time tour to get the full experience. Would 100% recommend that everyone take a trip to see this 1 of a kind castle.

    Pretty Cool
I heard of this place several years ago and just recently decided it was time to go check it out. Jason, the owner and tour guide, is very knowledgeable of history and gives a pretty thorough run down over the course of a couple of hours. The “castle” is very cool inside with many items from centuries ago. Definitely worth checking it out if your in Regina - would I go again, probably not.

    Absolutely amazing
If you haven't yet seen the Castle definitely go and take the tour. It's amazing. The amount of work and creativity the owner has done is quite incredible and the history behind the Castle and everything in it is SO interesting. I can't say enough about this place. My 2nd time visiting and will go again.

Wonderful experience a tour I'll never forget brought me and my boyfriend together and our bundle of joy
Went with my ex boyfriend and another couple. As we were waiting for our tour to start a incident happen and my ex couldn't take the tour the couple we went with sat outside with him while I did the tour. Such a wonderful place I forgot the room I was in but I was so focused reading on history of things I got left behind by the tour group. So I followed the direction the tour was heading then bumped into a gentleman who was lost as well .we started walking and talking not knowing where to go but he acted like he knew . His knowledge was big and taught me a few things and rocked my world. We exchanged numbers and now dating cause of the tour thanks ❤️ it was a pleasure taking the tour and getting lost 🤰

A castle in the Queen City
What a gem to visit tucked away in Regina, Saskatchewan. The time, energy, and money spent created an amazing experience. Jason's narration of the customs and habits of the time was excellent. Not just a dry, boring list of facts. We have toured castles in various countries and although this one is not as large, it contains a wealth of artifacts. It is definitely a must see.

You're basically paying $50 for a guy to show you his cosplay Airbnb. None of the furniture or artwork is related to the building's history. It's just an arbitrary collection. Also, as far as I could tell only one painting in the entire place was actually medieval. Everything else is from later periods. Half the tour is wandering through rooms you can rent. There's gigantic flatscreen TVs, gas ranges, and toilets all over the place. Like there's literally a hot tub in one room, it reeks of chlorine. Was a welcome break from the smell of bees wax that permeates the place though. Guy has a fetish for that wax. Along those lines the pieces he does have are not cared for properly. Dude is just blasting old paintings with bees wax smoke. It's more like a freaky antique market. Tour guide was also obsessed with Henry VIII. Tried telling some redeeming story about him as a younger person. Henry literally decapitated his wives. Please decapitate me if I ever am forced to endure this tour again. Also his pants were way too tight. Moosejaw is an hour west, but moose knuckle is right here in Regina. There's allegedly a "haunted" painting. Tour guide claimed it gives people panic attacks if they were prone to them? Super weird. Like I wanted to claim I had bad panic attacks to see how he would manage that, but then I was afraid he'd reassure me, and I'd never want him to do that. This tour is just a straight scam. Like okay, he showed us an add for the place while we were on the tour. First of all, doesn't make sense to do, we're already there. Second of all, add was cheesy beyond belief, narration was bad fantasy fan fiction, music was from a funeral home. Don't go. Not a castle. Not medieval. Not intellectually or spiritually nourishing in any way. Very freaky.

DO NOT STAY here for the current price and never if you’re a solo female traveler.
To begin with the good, the place itself is beautiful. I enjoyed the decor which was very tastefully antique while still being comfortable. There are good amenities like oven (no microwave which was a bit sad), fully stocked fridges, washer dryer. Overall I’d say a higher-end airbnb but not at all what I expected for 700$! I was on a cross country road trip and even the Fairmont hotels were not as expensive. I should have done my due diligence but I saw it in a reputed tourist article last minute and thought I’d splurge. I expected a luxury hotel experience at that price. Instead, I was welcomed by the owner, who, once I entered, locked the door, the only exit, behind me. As a female solo traveler, I found that very disturbing. I was also informed that I couldn’t leave the premises without him opening and closing the door for me. Another very big red flag. I was freaked out so I left for a walk soon after, even though I had planned to enjoy the room itself. I researched then and couldn’t find even one review of a stay there. Not at all what I wanted when I spent 700$!

To add insult to injury, when I’m at dinner outside, he calls me and starts blabbering about how he has a school tour the next morning before I check out and the room I’m staying in is on the tour and how he took my booking without checking the calendar. I offered to check out early but I’d expect him to give some refund or something for the inconvenience. He then says that no, how about I just cleanup a bit and then leave. He’s basically asking a 700$ paying customer to do housekeeping for him because he made a mistake. It was ridiculous!

I stayed there on June 5 but didn’t post a review earlier because I didn’t want to write it when angry. But turns out I’m still angry but can kinda laugh at it now. Anyway, if he was charging ~200$, it’d probably be worth it but I’d just recommend to just avoid staying here.

Poorly maintained, chunks of limestone falling off exterior, one section boarded up and windows missing, wondered if we were at the right place when we pulled up because it looked so bad. Very hot and muggy inside, clearly no air conditioning. Definitely some cool antiques and atmosphere in the part of the building accessible to guests on the tour but not worth the $50 dollars for the tour. As for spending thousands of dollars to stay the night, I wouldn’t waste your money. Also, don’t be enticed by possible ghost encounters because there aren’t any residing at this residence.

This is an old house that has been remade to look like a castle from the inside only. The outside is not a castle and I was already a bit worried upon seeing the exterior. The host is personable and energetic but the length of the tour and amount of talking was too much. Inside the house is quite dark and often only lit by candles which may be realistic to days of yore but I had hoped to fully appreciate the "art by the old masters" which I now realize were not real - silly me to expect that from the website description? The admission price is more than any true art gallery or museum I've been to and so I thought it would be genuine articles. I'm sure a lot of effort was made to create the illusion but it doesn't hold up to the cost and time involved.

Stone Hall Castle should be a top priority if you like castles, history and old world charm. The building is very interesting, the tours are super informative and it is a great way to spend a couple hours. I live in YQR and I had no idea it was here. I will be back to see it again, there is just so much to see and learn about inside it.

Spectacular from the moment you step in the front door. The tour guide takes you back to a time when kings and bees wax candles were the norm. The castle is fitted with many many original paintings, artifacts, and furniture of the time. Well worth the visit.

It was fun to take this tour of a Castle that has been in our midst in Regina for some time. I had driven by it countless times and I'm happy I finally took the tour of this magical place. Jason was amazingly informative about the history, not only of the beginnings of the Castle, but of the history of the monarchs who lived in similar Castles in Britain. The bees wax candles, made by the owner, lit by the owner, and snuffed out at the end of each night, by the owner! are amazing. The tour was intimate with not too many people in attendance (and two young men from my home town of Winnipeg made a point of taking this tour on their way home...that was cool). Everyone on the tour was respectful and we all were able to keep a good social distance inside with our masks in place. The beautiful smell of wood burning fire places was still with me the next day. I loved everything about this place.

This castle 🏰 is truly a hidden gem. From the outside the question is Really????BUT once you step inside the beautiful wooden doors and you meet your host, it is really a trip into history and your senses are woken up!!! With the tour you get the feeling that you are back in the 1600 and 1700s. Everything is beautifully preserved and very soothing with the scent of the bee's wax candles through out the castle, the mood is magical!! If you don't see anything else in Regina, I strongly recommend you take the 1.5 hour tour, well worth it!!!

I took my staff to the castle as part of our Christmas party and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. As residents of Regina, we had all heard of the castle, but never experienced it. I highly recommend this tour to anyone aged 8 and up. You will all come away with some knowledge of medieval times. Jason - the owner and tour guide - is very passionate and educated on all of the artifacts and treasures in this amazing space. The architecture, tapestries, paintings, furniture, candles, lighting, suits of armor and endless amounts of decorative details will make you feel like you have stepped back in time. This would be a great Christmas or birthday gift - or take your staff or family ... you won't regret it. Regina is very fortunate to have a venue like this for both locals and tourists. Thank you for a great evening Jason!

This was really amazing. A great building restored to like new. It is filled with countless antique paintings and furniture. I could have spent hours looking at the craftmanship that was put into each piece hundreds of years ago.
The tour guide had extensive knowledge of all the pieces and of life in earlier times. He had many stories that helped us gain an understanding of times gone by.
This is a great way to spend a couple hours in Regina.
