This is a cool place. It’s all white, but they kept the church windows. It’s a good place to see how much of our high school French that we remember.

We decided to stop here because we heard about its beautiful aesthetic. We weren't disappointed, the place was beautiful, and a great place for insta pictures. You probably won't spend more than 20 minutes here, and it's a nice place to relax, maybe read a book. It's not a must-see, but it's a hidden gem. if you have the time for it, you should go to.

This new library, inside the shell of an old stone church, is a marvel. I confess I am a longtime library board member so this is a particular treat for me, but I think anyone who likes libraries at all will appreciate this innovative re-use of a church. The purpose of the library is to preserve and promote the authors and literature of Quebec. All of the cutting-edge technology available is used - you can wander and watch short videos, stop by small square pillars throughout the building and listen to authors being interviewed or reading their work. It's all in French, of course, but for a library lover, it's a great place to see how a library can be more than shelves of books.

If you are out walking, this a good stop and for a contrast, check out the English library in the old prison next door, which is all wrought iron railings and wooden spiral staircases.

It's a real functional library. The architecture is beautiful, nice clean lines but with the historical church look. It's a definite must see.

The building is very interesting, and the French language library is a great space. Great juxtaposition with the Morrin Centre next door.

This is an interesting stop while in the area of Morrin Centre. Originally built in 1848 this building was named the Wesley Temple. The church closed in 1931. Through the years it has opened and closed, converted and re-purposed as a library, concert and lecture hall. It is one of the oldest libraries in Quebec.

The library is French inspired with books and exhibitions on Quebec literature. Currently, there is an art exhibition featuring burnt books.

The interior is really modern. The church frame has been left and painted with white paint. Please look at the photos. It's very unique. Worth a moment to pop into.

They did quite a job removing the church vibe from this place. Inside it's so white it's almost maddening and it has a very clean, modern aesthetic. That style just not works for me. It feels as cold and uninviting as a hospital. But it serves its purpose and people do use it. The exterior is gorgeous and quite imposing.

I stopped in fur just a few moments to see how the church had been converted to a modern library. A great way to recycle unused churches. Very white and bright inside.

This would be the place people would go to worship. The church has been transformed into a library that is super modern and so amazing. It is very near Rue St-Jean and still in Old Town, you it is right near many things in Quebec City that you will want to visit.

Wow! This library was the highlight of my trip to Quebec city. What a creative use of an old church. It is truly special. A wonderful place to escape for a while from the usual tourist places. I sat and read for a couple hours and then sat in envy. Every city should have a space like this. You can ever grab a coffee here.
