'My gosh, what a place' I think, every single time I remember this place. Why?

- the worst smelling toilets I came across, located on the lower level of the building.
Everybody was wearing a mask or covering their noses and not because of the past pandemic
- a very rude girl in her '20s did not even listen to me when I asked her a very simple question and asked me to join a queue to learn the answer to my question while not even looking at me but around her trying to get rid of me or maybe because she has issues. What was her role there? Because door usher or security person she was not yet decided to be so rude to me and treat me so disrespectfully. She surely brings nothing positive towards this institution.

We stopped in hoping we could just grab a map, but we were helped by Laurie and she was incredibly knowledgeable and we left with three maps and a booklet. If it's your first trip to Quebec or not if is worth the stop in.

This is centrally located in the Upper Town right across from the Chateau de Frontenac so it’s very easy to find. They have clean public washrooms if you need a pit stop. The staff were all very friendly and could answer questions and provide ideas. If you don’t know what to do this should be your first stop as they will give you lots of ideas.

The tourist center is located in the Place d'Armes in front of the Chauteau Frontenac. It is open Monday-Sunday. It has free wifi, bathrooms and money exchange.

Once you enter:
To the right, there is a staff person that will get you a ticket and will direct you to one of the booths. The attendant at the booth will provide you with a map and with information about local tourist attractions and hours.

To the left: Organized booth tours: Old Quebec tours, Tours Voir Quebec, Helicopter tours, Wendake, etc. Here you make reservations.

The Center is located close to restaurants. If you need help, this is the place to go.

While making a booking for some tours, I almost walked away because of the rude and abrupt manner of a young blonde girl with curly hair. I'm not sure if she was attempting to act as the stereotype sometimes portrayed of the French, but this was our first encounter of such a manner. Previously, all our encounters have been friendly and informative.

Some more training would not go astray. It is such a shame that such an encounter can taint your view of a town. How strange that her choice of work was to support people like ourselves as we attempt to organise our visit to a beautiful part of the world.

Was so happy to talk to someone in english and get some directions and tips on what we could see in a couple of hours. Lovely lady, I believe her name is Louise, name definitely starts with L. On Sept 18th she was at the far right when you come into the centre. She was just great, made me want to come back to QCity for a longer period and explore more. We had about 3-4 hours and wanted to seize as much time as we could. Visit here as soon as you get to the city if you aren't too sure of the lay of land.
