Bad experience overall. We waited over 10 minutes at the bar trying to get the waiter’s attention, while he was just talking to his friends (we were the only ones trying to order). Tired of waiting, we went to the bathroom…. Only to realize there was only one sink working and NO SOAP. We went back to the bar, the waiter saw us but still continued chatting. We left.

I visit Quebec City every year and I really look forward to visit this place. Great ambience, friendly staff and patrons. However I was appalled by the change happened in this place. Rude, unfriendly, unwelcoming staff and the servers/bartender do not bother to serve you a drink. They were playing on their phone and iPad, I am not sure where the owner or manager is letting this business rot. It was a humiliating visit. I hope owner would read this review and fire those workers and hire people who care about their job.

What a commentary that being the only gay bar in a city of more than 500,000 there are only three prior reviews and one of those is from a straight couple complaining that there was no show. The fact is Quebec City has history, architecture, fab food, Le Citadelle & ramparts, but really NO GAY LIFE and Le Drague is located between a cemetary and a church (out of sight, maybe??). So one must conclude that gay activity is stifled. BTW, not every gay person is interested in drag at all. Has Quebec never heard of a piano bar where suited businessmen might relax after work or similar venues. My partner and I went there for a pre-dinner drink one nite and the place was quite empty about 7:00 pm and the lady behind the bar looked at me curiously when I asked for a red wine. She finally let some other patron open the bottle while laughing as if this was really a novelty. I did not have a + feeling when a bartender had no idea how t o open a bottle.

If you are American and used to great gay bars, this ain't one. Plainly this place is WAY too expensive for cheap alcohol. OMG their entire bar is stocked with the cheapest booze on the market, they charge a high premium- and short pour. OMG I've never experienced such minuscule drinks. You know it's bad when the 5 star hotel bar serves cheaper better drinks. Atmosphere is good but once you're fleeced at the bar it totally ruins it. My advice, find someone online and meet at the Hotel Frontenac bar- trust me in this one. It's the only gay bar in the city, but can't even half pack the place (probably because the drink prices).

Nice outdoor patio to have drinks but the servers are rude and curt. Bad service and plenty of cigarette smoke to burn your eyes. Even the other French Canadian clientele are rude and unfriendly.

Stopped by for a late afternoon drink. The staff was very friendly and spoke both French and English. Very relaxing atmosphere and easy to chat with others.

Everyone we talked to in Quebec City said this was a great club to check out. Like most clubs it didn't get going till about midnight but it was a hoot. Multiple dance floors, lots of great energy. Drinks are reasonable but I would stick to bottled beer rather than the cocktails. The location is easily walkable from the old part of the city and the club has a lot of capacity. We went on a Sat night and there was no line up. Very fun, good music and a good vibe.

awesome place to go and dance the night away. when in Quebec we always end up here on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night on our nights out and dance our rear ends off until the place shuts down. great music, especially on the lower level floor.

So I read the reviews before going to this place. Most of them seemed to be years old so I thought maybe over time things would be a little better than what was noted. I was wrong. The $5.00 cover charge is reasonable and I would gladly pay more if I knew the venue had something to offer. When you walk into this place it looks like a cool gay hangout and you are immediately drawn in. There were plenty of people hangin and watchin the show. Take a second look and you will notice that most of them were drunk women and gay clones in their 20's. There were a few men in their 40's and up that looked totally uninterested in what was happening around them. Take another look at the show and you see poorly dressed, unruly wigged, with sloppy makeup amatuer drag quuens trying to be funny. All in french, and all vocally loud to coverup their obvious lack of talent. the only good thing was the music and the backup dancers. I was looking for entertainment and found disappointment. I should have stayed in the hotel room and watched TV!

Located next to a church and old graveyard so it might creep you out if your queasy, other than that good atmosphere good drink, no food though so you will need to seek other location. Go to Grande Alle for terrace restaurants there is so much to choose from.

Will Club be open weekend of 11/3? Do you have to pay entrance fee? Planning a bachlorette!

Entrance fees vary; drag shows usually have one, and friday/Saturday evenings. Unless you want to reserve the dance floor, there shouldn't be fees
