My husband and I came here Christmas Day for ice skating. It’s a small rink but fun! They have rentals (though run out of some sizes so you may have to wait a bit for someone to return). If they had lockers, you would need your own lock. I only remember that we kept our backpack with us and put our shoes under a bench and no one bothered them.

Place d" Youville is a large open space where various events take place throughout the year.. We walked by several times during our stay in Quebec, but unfortunately nothing was on at the time!

This beautiful outdoor rink boasts a warm changing room with skate rentals available. The restrooms are clean and the rink is very well maintained. It is surrounded by beautiful buildings and architecture; the effect is truly magical. Skating here was one of the highlights of our trip to Quebec. It seems like it's open all day and night and it's free!

We had a wonderful time skating on this little ice rink during Carnaval. It is well maintained and has plenty of seating indoors and outdoors to put your skates on. The location is nice too with the lights that surround it.

I am not a skilled skater so the small rink here was a perfect place for me to have fun, learn to skate, and repeatedly land on my butt while laughing my head off. My friend and I had a great time here. The fellow skaters were friendly and helpful with their encouragement, though they were speaking French so I suppose maybe they were telling me to get the hell off the rink?
You can't come to Canada in the winter and not wear skates at some point!
We took our own skates but you can rent skates at the venue itself.

Just a nice place to stop while walking around Quebec City. There were entertainers while we were there, and it's just a pretty place.

As travelers staying in the heart of Old Town's tourist area, it was nice to see a part of Quebec City that felt like a more authentic representation of modern life! We took the free Ecolobus up, and then outside of the wall, and walked two blocks downhill to Saint-Jean. To the right is Place d'Youville, but to the left on St-Jean is much less crowded and full of interesting shops. We visited the Choco Musee and J A Moisan market. Both are wonderful! We walked back to our hotel through Place d'Youville- great shopping and dining options, as well as a large theater.

During Winter Carnival bring your ice skates. In the summer bring your appetite and wear your sneakers as there are shopping opportunties galore and ethnic culinary delights. Numerous small restaurants with middle eastern cuisine abound that are just off the beaten path and side streets along the way.

This was a nice little outdoor skating rink. It's free to skate here. Good atmosphere. It's right next to a parking ramp so that makes things easier.

More of a triangle really, but just a large concrete space. A few trees. A nice statue of 6 women on the west side. A good space for concerts and fairs. but not a destination unless attending one of these.
