This is a beautiful park with a unique bit of history. Our national anthem was first performed in this park.

The statue itself is not remarkable, but the gardens it is in are gorgeous. We had a picnic here because it was so lovely and peaceful. It was much quieter here than many other places as there weren't as many tourists here even though it is only a few blocks from Old Quebec.. The locals seem to love it here.

A nice tribute and beautiful gardens surrounding Joan, who was ultimately acquitted for the "crimes" she did not commit but for which she was nonetheless executed (burned at the stake).

These formal gardens are magnificent, always in full bloom and beautiful condition and enjoyable to all but particularly for ornamental gardeners.

As per my previous review about the Plains of Abraham - this small area is a tribute to Joan of Arc, and well worth a visit to sit and relax amongst a range of flowers and shrubs which are well maintained.

Pack a picnic and visit this beautiful area. The statue is just the centerpiece to these wonderful little gardens where you can sit back and relax for a bit.

Go out of your way to find this lovely little garden in plains of Abraham. Once you're sat down and restored your tranquility continue to avenue Cartier to my favorite part of Quebec -- where the locals live, eat and shop.

If you have a couple of hours on a sunny day, grab lunch at the nearby restaurants and relax in this garden. It is tucked in from the main street but worth the walk or drive. There are street parking spots and washrooms right across the street from this park.
