We are 28 & 32 visiting from Vermont This cathedral was stunning - the architecture and history was a beautiful sight to take in. When we went there wasn't a service going on so we could walk around freely. We also walked the grounds outside. It's right in the center of old town, so it was easy to just stop... More

Absolutely beautiful inside . So much grand for the eye to see . We did not stay as this is a place of worship and many were praying as we entered , I would love to go back another time less full

We had planned on visiting Notre Dame Cathedral when we were in Old Quebec as it is one of the oldest buildings in the Country - however we didn't really expect much from the visit. We were very surprised by how incredible our visit really was! This church is beyond beautiful; it is seeped in history, and walking through feels... More

Beautiful cathedral, well-maintained, quiet and pensive place to sit. I believe this is the oldest church in Canada and maybe North America. No fees, donations if inclined ( a $1 CAN recommended). Locate in the Place Royale seems most appropriate.

This Cathedrale-Basilica is world reknown and a must see when in Quebec. Was included on our walking tour, but we went back for a closer look inside and to walk thru the Holy Door (the first outside of Europe), which is significant for Catholics to obtain the Jubilee of Mercy Indulgence as proclaimed by Pope Francis in 2015.

Breathtaking when you walk in with all the gold leaf on the ceiling and alter. Highly recommended. We happened to hit when the church bells were ringing, and boy did they ring for at least 20 minutes or more.

Wandered in to see the cathedral and was surprised at the music and the group rehearsing "Jesus Christ Superstar" for a performance later than day. Beautiful church moving enough, but with the music, a special memory of trip to Quebec.

This is a very beautiful Cathedral in the work that has been done to it is fantastic. If there's a lot of history here. Definitely worth the visit if you're in Old Quebec!

Located in the heart of Quebec old town, this cathedral is a must to see. The architecture is beautiful, the outside does not prepare you for the ornate interior. Take time to see everything. There is a holy door located on the left side ...it is the only holy door in North America. This year the holy door is open... More
