$5 for a pint . Beer is average but not too bad. Stay away from the fruit beers as they are made with extract and taste a little soapy. the IPA is pretty good tho. Food - didnt have any but they had a pretty decent pub menu and was on happy hour as well. The bar got a little... More

We went passed on the reviews to check out the beers. Our group had the chocolate stout, raspberry blonde, and scotch ale. The scotch ale was quite good, but the others were average at best. The outdoor space is small and the interior is dark and cave like. The street was not crowded while we were there.

This place became our go-to before meals. The cider in particular is great - not many places in canada do good cider (except in bottles/cans) so we were stoaked to find brutopia who brew their own. Beers good too - the ipa is very drinkable! Great, friendly vibe here too - very easy to get chatting to others.

Our group got the lower-level for a party and it was the greatest venue. Good areas for milling around visiting each other. The menu was far superior to bar food. I had the Cuban sandwich and was blown away with the taste. Would have traded that for a few overpriced fancy meals we had later in the week. Great servers.

When we first stopped in here, we looked around for a bit, then left because we were unsure if they served dinner because we saw no menues, no one eating, a pringles vending unit in the front, and no server asked us if we needed any help and we were looking for a dinner spot. We did return later in... More

First of all let me say there was nothing wrong with the beers. They was nothing great either. The selection was average. In our four days in Montreal, this was the fourth brewpub we went to, and the only one I could recommend for their beer was Le Saint Boc. We really enjoyed the food, though. I feel when I... More

Beers here were okay but not what I was hoping for to be honest. Service was a little overbearing and maaaybe a bit unhinged in our waitress's specific case. However I enjoyed myself and the open mic they had was really good. Nice setup inside.

I'm sorry but this place was such a letdown. I read all over the Internet and in reviews that this was the place to go for beer. Major fail! We walked in and walked right back out. Barely a selection of beer and nothing that was exceptional or out of the ordinary. If you are a craft beer lover and... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
