I’m not sure what all went into the museum, but I did enjoy quickly visiting the chapel and taking in the atmosphere. It was free to walk into the chapel but you may choose to leave a donation. The chapel is small and elegant. The...More

We were very interested in immigration to Canada, so spent a lot of time in this museum. Marguerite Bourgeoys was an amazing 17th century woman who, when she wasn't accepted into religious orders in France, moved to Montreal where she became a teacher, founded a...More

Please note this review is about the chapel and shop, as we did not do the museum tour. We went there on a Sunday afternoon with friends as we decided to explore the Montreal Old Port. The Marguerite-Bourgeoys chapel is a lovely church, in a...More

Great variety in this museum: the museum itself, the archeological display in the basement, the climb to the tour and nice view from there. Don’t miss the guided tour every 30 min of the archeological digs. We almost skipped it, but then joined it as...More

In our way to the Old Port, my 15 year old son, my parents and I stopped by in this delightful slice of heaven. The presence of God was in this place and I was overwhelmed that people have worshiped here for centuries, very humbling...More

This museum is not huge, but is well worth it for the views from the tower, which were better than some observation decks we've been to (albeit not as accessible given it is an old church tower). The story of Marguerite and its presentation was...More

The crypt and the tower for me where the best bits, some of the other parts where just a little weird, or not what I'm into, dolls re-enacting scenes doesn't interest me, but I'd been told of the view. And it was worth the visit...More

I have visited the church many times but never entered the museum. It is not a big place but interesting enough and worth the effort. Three rooms dedicated to Margurite Bougeoys that were interesting and then a climb to the "bellevue" up to the back...More

So, this review is hard to write concisely as the museum has some very good parts and just some downright weird exhibits. The first thing you see when you start your tour are the sixty or so dioramas depicting Marguerite's life, which is downright creepy....More

Yes except for (I think) the archeological part in the basement. However, it’s too dark there for photos anyway. We took lots of beautiful photos in and from the tower.
